Agreed with what you're saying here...
I would wager that comic store customers/comic book fans would buy a great deal of these figures if they knew about them. I am guessing that quite a few of them *do* know about them, but having them for sale in a business those folks would frequent seems like a no-brainer and is something Mego *should* be doing (offering them to these stores)...

Ghost town as far as Megos go here on Long Island. Been that way for 3 years on the south shore.
As far as comic shops are concerned...Diamond has been out of the picture for almost a year now as being the monopoly it once was. Yet the Mego Corporation still hasn't reached out to comic shops. Just laziness on the sales / marketing of these figures. If it was me in Marketing or Sales I would grab that little "retailers" book and start making phone calls....but it seems they can't be bothered with actually doing the leg work. Pretty pathetic. Seriously, they are cutting their noses off to spite their face. There is no more red tape to go through anymore with Diamond out of the picture...yet there is not one comic store that carries these. It's a no brainer and it is a way to cut out the middle man. Guess Mego doesn't want to make more money. I've seen bad ebay sellers do more work than Mego is doing or has done in the last year. Pathetic.Leave a comment:

Of course I can't speak for others' experiences with their local comic shops, but I stopped into the one here in town yesterday (quite busy, which was good to see, but that's really another thread), and I asked if they had any of the new Mego figures and the guy I asked, who is the owner, said they didn't, and as far as he remembered, he never received info on ordering them or anything, so I guess they weren't looking to have them sold in smaller outlets like comic shops...
They did have a few of the Figures Toy Inc. figures though...Leave a comment:

Yeah but that's pre-order. We're talking about figures showing up early and which ones are showing up later. If I pre-order a mole Person figure from ZLC, I have no idea when it will be available.Leave a comment:

ZLC collectibles has all this up for order or preorder, FYI. Used them many times, never had a problem.Leave a comment:

I'm starting to see Jumbo the Killer Klown and Hammer Frankenstein starting to show up from online sellers, but the only confirmed date I've seen for The Mole People is January 15th, Hopefully the rest of Wave 14 will be available soon, otherwise this is such a weird trickle-down release for a Wave.Leave a comment:

I was wondering the same thing... I was also wondering if anyone has ever seen any of the new Mego figures in comic stores, or are they only ever available at the big boxes of Target/Walmart/Meijer and the usual online sellers?Leave a comment:

So, are all the wave 14 figures showing up at Target? I haven't seen anyone mention Curse of Frankenstein. Any other big box retailers carrying these in the US?
