Um, yeah, I knew that *hangs head in shame*

If a retailer like BBTS or EE decided to place an order for 500 of each figure (just to toss a random number out), that might cause issues within the manufacturing time frame.

From what I understand, they begin production when the initial offering is over and have a week to produce them before the next set starts manufacture. So, technically the first two weeks worth should already be made, with the third weeks figures being manufactured right now. Seems like they only get a week to make them and move on to something else. Then they need to be packaged and shipped to the US to be distributed. So most of out waiting time will be the figures on the water and at the port.
Someone please correct me if my information is incorrect.

That's not good to hear - I'm sure the Canadian shipping charges has already been raised in the past from Canadian card collectors.

A giant corporation doesn't move quickly, it seems like prior to this their business was mainly cards, those ship in little cardstock envelopes.

I'm sure their shipping is expensive on boxes of cards but the price on those averages over $100, so they probably don't get a lot of complaining.

They definitely need to rethink their model if they want Canadian orders.

i would say give it a little time to see if they fix the Canadian shipping. i know that sucks as you miss out on things in the meantime, but this weeks offering is less than a week after the meeting they had and they did at least fix one things that had been brought up.

I thought the quantity change was an option, not a minimum?

On the Mego Ambassadors page they indicated a meeting was held last week with Topps and that “changes” were forthcoming. So far the only change has been increasing the number of maximum order quantity from 2 to 5.

Either they are being robbed by shipping service providers or they are choosing to rob us.
I would say at this point, since they have not made any moves to rectify the shipping cost to Canada, they have chosen to rob us. If they had just "found out" that the shipping costs were out of whack, they could have quickly fixed the issue but bringing in a other shipping service/method.

I was curious, so I added four figures to my Topps cart and shipping to Western New York is $16 Economy and $24 Standard. $32 for Priority.

From reading messages here, are shipping costs different based on your location?
