I'm in for the Apes. The first 4 were an easy no-brainer for me. I can't seem to add them to my cart but ill try on the desktop computer later.
Btw...the chat bot on Topps is extremely rude. Apparently you have to have an account to ask why they won't take my money. Little things like that make me question supporting them but if you want it, you want it.

I hear ya. I've had eyes bigger than my wallet - to mix a metaphor - my entire life.Leave a comment:

i wish they would at least give a calendar showing what line each Monday will have figures for, if not exactly the figures, then we can budget for the weeks that we will want to make a purchase. i also think they should bundle shipping if you are ordering more than one week as these will likely all be coming around the same time. but I am not a "gotta have em all" collector, i buy what i like, or can afford at the moment and if I miss one i miss one. I don't fret about it or get angry about it. this is a hobby and it's supposed to be fun. if you are letting yourself get so angry and frustrated about it, then IMHO you are going about collecting all wrongLeave a comment:

As a Canadian living in northern Saskatchewan, I have had to pass on all of the Topps exclusives so far. It was excruciating to do so because I love Mego collecting and I want Mego to do well, plus I love all the figures they have announced so far (I have especially been waiting for a TMP Spock and a Taylor all of my collecting life). I also purchase most of my Mego figures (as well as FTC, etc) online as the retail selection in Canada often sucks to begin with... I have no issue with ordering online and paying shipping costs when they are reasonable... To purchase one $20 figure would end up costing me close to $100 when the shipping is added on for these Topps figures. That is simply way too excessive and ruins my joy of collecting.Leave a comment:

Yeah, it could be "too much of a good thing". Consider, here you have grown men with disposable income saying we can't afford all of these figures so quickly. So, how in the world are any kids that are starting to collect going to do it?
Maybe two goodies a month? Maybe?Leave a comment:

I had to pass on Kor, that really hurt--I wanted him more than Kang. I will not be able to buy these--except an Aquaman!--for almost three months until my budget improves. That's a lot of missed weekly figures *sigh*.Leave a comment:

I understand what you mean. I too have run into financial problems that has made me cut back on my extra spending. Since I cannot find the DC Comics Mego at a store I have passed on them. I wanted to get the POTA but again I cannot always find them so passa again. After I completed the Original Star Trek I stopped, if I see there alien I will probably pick them up down the way. Right now I am only picking up the Monsters to expand my Svengoolie sets.Leave a comment:

ah i been giving wife that double i left in the box during the collecting years to balance out the mego bill. Im kind of feeling the 1:6th scale DC Direct guys can go know with these cool 14" versions that are actually mego its still one of the best batman and robins but now with such a great mego robin....Leave a comment:

No way I can keep up.
The 2 DC figures was an easy pass, although had the been available from the usual dealers I go to I would have got them.
The 2 Apes, Zira and Taylor was harder to pass on. But I did.
I may try to figure out how to order from Topps if I see monster, Dark Shadows or Night Stalker stuff. Other than that, I just gonna pass unless a dealer has it.Leave a comment:

Yeah, I'd vote no for boxes too. Unless it was an entirely new license or series, that's gonna look weird. Boxes are a nice extra but I'd like all my Apes to match.Leave a comment:

Now they are considering making the figures boxed. I hate that idea and don't want any in boxes. I can't display Kor with my other Trek figures if he is in a box. I hang them on the wall for display.Leave a comment:

I know that Mego is meeting with Topps and will be voicing many of the concerns including Canada. Although it's Topp's show, I'm sure they want to know where they're faltering and they're definitely not doing Canada any favours.Leave a comment:

I think for us Canadians the better option would have been to have these as Toys R Us exclusives. I'm a little steamed that there is finally an honest to goodness Mego Taylor figure in the works and now I'm going to have to pass.Leave a comment:

That's me and Apes, although I can't afford Zira right now.
Hammer is a really close second.Leave a comment:

^Thanks Chris...I'm not giving up completely, I'm still going all-in on the Universal and Hammer monsters.
I waited my entire life for Hammer Horror toys, and come hell or high water, I WILL own them all.Leave a comment:
