Velcro or metal snaps?

Velcro on figures always looks lousy because it puffs out the clothing too much.

I just got the Mego Invisible Man, which uses Velcro to secure the suit... and actually I couldn't help but notice the opposite. It was far less "puffy" than the classic Mego suits using snaps. Not to mention with Velcro you can overcome minor positioning differences to snug it up.

Also I've had to sew back on a ton of snaps over the years... which is never an issue with Velcro.

Admittedly, Velcro is a snag risk. But honestly, I think the biggest advantage to snaps is the nostalgia factor. It is the reason I still use snaps on all my customs despite what I see as clear advantages to using Velcro.
