I'm either going with Type 2K and most likely I'll just continue saying "the new one with the reverse neck plug."

I agree but for different reasons. Why is a custom body never manufactured by the company were talking about factor in to the discussion? I thought we were naming bodies made by Mego, not customs made with a mego-style? I don't see why ppl are so touchy about it.

If someone has made a custom body inspired by the Mego type 1 and type 2 bodies and logically called them type 3 then why would that affect anyone referring to the REAL thing using the logical term. Collectors have united on using type 0/1/2, so not calling the next one in line a 3 imo is a bit much to ask for a professional courtesy to our friend.

I intend on calling them type 3 and I also intend on continue calling John's cool customs "type3toys". If anyone feels strongly one way or the other, here's a suggestion: call it whatever ya want.

    Type 3.
Try again. As mentioned before, I created and have been using the Type 3 body for the last 15 years.

    Type 2.1 !

(I really don't care, as long as it's functional...)

    Didn't we have this debate?
Probably had it a few times.

    I have Type 3. I have had Type 3 since January 2004. That's 15 years of Type 3.
Please, someone come up with an original idea for a body name, like I did 15 years ago when I named the body I designed the Type 3.
    Thanks.

I'll talk to Brian. I think the best thing to do is go through every single reference on the museum and change them:

V1 - Plastic pin AJ body
    V2 - Metal rivet body
    V3A - Standard plastic body
    V3B - OMBC body
    V3C - Fonzie body
    V3D - Fist Fighter body
    V3E - Rascals body
    V3F - Titans body
    FV1 - Female body
    FV2 - Female body
    FV3 - Female body
    FV4 - Female body

*****I can't keep the small female bodies straight. I think there are four.

I would refer to the new Mego bodies as T'Paul and T'Pol and John's bodies as Furley.

1st - I want in on the bickering.
B - I want in on the winning side of the class action law suit for unofficial naming rights

Mego Corp has type 1 and 2 so Mego Corp moves to 3. Very simple debate if u ask me.

But this sounds like the sort of thing adult collectors love to bicker about so I’ll go heat up some popcorn in the microwave and pop back for more responses.
