Joe Namath at the Cheers bar hitting on all the chicks. What a great diorama that would be. -
If anything, most fans today know Joe from his feud with Mark Sanchez.Leave a comment:

I'm ready for the Namath figure:

Plunkett will forever be remembered as a Raider and for wearing a helmet at least 2 sizes too small. Watching Grogan play in my teens, I remember thinking this guy could pass for Ichabod Crane; the nose, neck and adam's apple. So, if Mego does put out a Grogan figure, now you have a nice custom to build.

I remembered Flutie and Plunkett, but figured both had their successes elsewhere. I think Bills and Raiders when I think of them.
Parilli? Whew! Going way back on that one!
But I’d buy their Megos before Brady. Yep, I am a hater!Leave a comment:

Plunkett was very good, but unfortunately those Patriots teams back then had minimal talent, he went to the Raiders and finally won a Super Bowl with them.
I loved Bledsoe one tough SOB, took a cheap hit by (of course) a Jets player, and continued to play with a bleeding internal chest injury, finally he had to sit and Brady was his back up.
Eason was good but not great, and Grogan sort of had the same problem Plunkett had, but fortunately he was able to
get to the Pats first super bowl, leading them after Eason went out with an injury, Grogan took a beating throughout
his career but always hung in there, he played with a neck collar towards the end of his career.
Namath wore pantyhose, need I say more?Leave a comment:

Not only will I buy him in his Jets uniform, I am lobbying Marty hard for a Rams uniform variant and a Pat Haden two pack. I can't speak for the youngsters, but I can name four Patriots QBs I'd buy before Brady.Leave a comment:

Most sports fans I know are team fans such as Raiders,Vikings etc. Joe is a figure in football
history but his time is long ago and is now remembered for being heavily intoxicated, and
hitting on female sportscasters.Without a true Jets uniform he will not sell good outside
mego museum fan boys( in my opinion. Why is Mego not doing modern figures that fans
recognize like Tom Brady.Mego should leave sports figures to McFarlane who understands
sports collectors.Who's next O.J Simpson ?Leave a comment:

I don't watch football. I don't care about it --but how do you not know him? He was on TV, talked about t school. He even had a Mego action figure!
If you were born in the 20th century, it would have been hard to not hear of him.
Maybe you are a lot younger AND don't watch football.
Brue Im from Europe, where American football, as U can imagine is quite obscure, where no one really understands what the hell is going on the pitch lol...Leave a comment:

I wonder if they will pack him with other figures, or if the case pack will all be Joe. Is it an exclusive to Target? It's shown with a collector sticker. It isn't numbered, and says endorsed. Will it be numbered out of ten thousand? When will he be available?Leave a comment:

I think this figure will go quick online. For the Mego collectors & the NFL/Sports collectors. The problem is how many of them are going to try and flip them. I just want one maby two figures. Since I have Action Jackson in his football outfit it would be a nice bookend. Now if this is truly a new line of 'sports' figures than this could breath new life in the figures, due to the possible cross promotion that Target and Mego have been looking for. I cannot tell you any other classic football player name but it would be something to see more characters from the NFL show up on the shelfs. If Muhammad Ali shows up carded it will be disappointing, I think it should he should be in a two pack with a generic fighter.Leave a comment:
