Yeah, I don't see them breaking up Captain America and Falcon. Even the recent Sam Wilson Captain America had a Falcon sidekick (which looked like a rehash of the Michael Keaton Vulture costume).
My selfish hope is that the Hulk is in the next wave. I think it will be an Avengers set:
Hulk
Thor
Iron Man
Loki, probably. But I'm hoping they'll do a Hulk villain like Rhino or Abomination
I know the movies made a lot of Avengers famous, but I think Hulk is still one of the better known and most desirable properties. so I wonder if they'll save him for one of the later box sets to keep interest up.

I really think they need to get Dr. Doom and Silver Surfer out there. I am surprised they did not split the Fantastic Four set to do this. So If they do produce these two, I also think they need to do Iron Man and Black Panther. These three sets would give us the rest of the originals, and some much needed new figures. Then this would be the five sets they said were coming out this year. Then everything can be new in 2026 (X-Men, Daredevil, Deadpool, more Avengers and plenty of Spider Man villains).
Iron Man
Black Panther
Doctor Doom
Silver Surfer
Captain America
Falcon
Red Skull
Hulk
Thor
Loki
Black Widow
Scarlet WitchLeave a comment:

Vulture

Personally, I feel like the biggest potential seller of all would be a Punisher 4-pack.
It could be composed of a Romita, original Punisher, a Jim Lee/War Journal Punisher, a 2000s era Punisher, and a Jon Bernthal Punisher. Its release could be timed to coincide with the next appearance of Bernthal's Punisher in a Disney movie or streaming show.
All that said, I personally can't envision Disney wanting to go there. And even though I would be a definite buyer myself, if I were a Disney executive, I would have strong reservations that the 'juice' from a Mego Punisher (or 4!) wouldn't be worth the squeeze. Such a bummer for me. But in fairness, I could understand any corporate hesitation...

It actually lasted quite a bit longer than that - Black Widow was a fixture in DAREDEVIL from #81 through 124, nearly 4 years.
It *has* been 50 years since they co-starred together, but in my opinion she’s a better fit with Daredevil than with the Avengers from a 1970s/Bronze Age comics standpoint.
While she appeared sporadically a few time with the Avengers in the Silver Age (due to her relationship with Hawkeye), she was never an official member during that time. She and Daredevil were recruited to aid the team against Magneto in AVENGERS #111, and she hung around another issue after that, but she then returned to the west coast to be with DD.
The MCU movies have definitely led the general public to think of her as a core Avenger, though.
I think a DD/Black Widow/Punisher/Bullseye set would be cool.Last edited by warlock664; Jul 11, '25, 3:57 PM.Leave a comment:

To agree with many above, I feel like the next wave will be an Avengers wave.
I feel like it will be timed and tied to the next Avengers film.
If so, I feel like that wave will definitely include Iron Man (as the original Mego figure is rare, and the character is more popular now), Captain America(maybe also a tie-in to America's 250th anniversary in 2026), Hulk (because with the Thing, Mego now has a bandless big body) and, because of the next Avengers film, Dr. Doom.Last edited by Dan2Dan; Jul 11, '25, 3:56 PM.Leave a comment:

It's been over 50 years since Black Widow was associated with Daredevil and it lasted for maybe a year in the comics. 90% of the potential customers would have no clue why Widow was in a Daredevil set and the last thing you want is customers scratching their head and using it as a reason not to make a purchase. Many older hardcore comic fans, let alone younger or casual fans don't remember or ever knew there was a link between Widow and DD. That's not something to market towards if you are looking to hook potential customers. There are many better and more logical choices to include in a DD set that fit the theme and appeal to customer sensibilities and expectations.

Captain America, Falcon, Black Panther, and Red Skull would be a great set!

If they're doing female figure, I'd love to see a Kooky Quartet-Cap, Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, or an original Avengers Iron Man, Thor, Ant Man and Wasp. But if it's not Avengers related I'd guess a Daredevil based set-Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra and maybe Kingpin on a muscle body or Bullseye, or just a Netflix based set-some mix of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and/or Punisher.

I noticed that the Invisible Woman was the first Mego female Super Heroe re issue, no other issue even on the DC side in the box format. I dont count carded figures here. I have the Justice League Wonder Woman.
Black Widow, Hawkeye have to come out together based on the Marvel films.Leave a comment:
