    What if...?

What if Mego contacted you and asked what your Marvel Mego fantasy four-pack is. You get to pick the four Marvel characters for a release to be the next offering. Which four characters would they be? From superheroes to monsters to secret identities to supporting characters. If it was Marvel, it's fair game. Which four do you choose?

I think I'd go for Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, and Harry Osborn. All John Romita style. It might not sell very well, but I'd be super happy!

Power Man, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Black Widow.

All in classic, 1970s "original Mego-era" costumes from when these characters headlined a pair of shared books.

So far all are really cool choices that I would buy. I’d go Avengers with Swordsman, Vision, Yellowjacket, and Hawkeye.

If you are looking for 4-pack themed sets, maybe "Marvel's TV Sensations" with Spider-Woman, Firestar, Lou Hulk, Iceman/60's cartoon Spidey, or one of those Fly Twins for a villain.

Or, "Best of the Bronze Age" theme with Spider-Woman, Captain Britain, maybe FIrestar and White Tiger, or Baron Zemo..

I would include Moon Knight, but that wonderful costume does not translate into toys. No other Bronze Age-created baddies really stand out. Kingpin, I guess, but I wouldn't want a figure of him.

If I keep repeating "Spider-Woman" and "Captain Britain," though, maybe Mego will...

I think my second choice after the Dr. Strange set I mentioned above, would be a Cap's Kooky Quarter 4 pack-Cap Hawkeye Qucksilver and Scarlet Witch in 60s style costumes.

This is a difficult question?? I can think of about 20, but I would probably choose, Thor-Iron Man-Captain America and Black Panther, or a villain 4-pack of, Doctor Doom-Red Skull-Dr. Octopus and the Vulture.

Doing four would be tough, since what I'd want is the original 5 X-Men, in either their first or second set of 1960s costumes. They could even throw in Angel in his "Avenging Angel" costume from his pre-X-Men days as a chase figure variant.

A Bring On The Bad Guys wave. Dr. Doom, Dormummu, Kang and Baron Zemo II.

Daredevil, Black Panther, Moon Knight, Hawkeye. But I'm not getting my hopes up about getting any Marvel figure at all in the foreseeable future. Wishful thinking all the way.

An Inhuman 4 pack would be nice!

Man, I really like all of the above suggestions!

Personally, if I had to choose four, I wouldn't have the discipline to make them thematically linked. I'd have to go with 'greatest hits' never made by Mego. They would be: Wolverine, Punisher (comic book version, either Romita or Lee design), Daredevil, and Dr. Doom.

Honorable mention: a re-release of Iron Man.

10+ years ago, I was able to buy on ebay several 'boxed sets' of modern, Mego-like figures, which I still have and love. They included a Wolverine and a Daredevil (and Matt Murdoch). So for me, if I had to pick just one figure, it would be the comic book Punisher. But, for reasons of which we are all aware (and with which we each may, or may not, agree) Disney/Marvel has shied away from that character (and his chest skull logo). But in fairness to current-day Disney, when TSR first published its Marvel Super Heroes role-playing game 40 years ago, they too shied away from the Punisher initially, and then mostly thereafter -despite that era being the peak of the character's popularity. Gun-toting vigilante and kids has never been a comfortable corporate match, I suppose.

Tough question. I like the suggestions so far. The F.F. is an obvious inevitability, and in keeping with the "3 old figures, 1 new figure" scheme, I'm tempted to say:

Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Gi/Ant-Man (with a tiny Wasp figure that can sit on his shoulder).

BUT, as I'd prefer Mego went with a larger scale Hulk (9"-10") and Giant-Man (11"-12"), I'll go with:

Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Vision

                            I'd like the original X-Men line-up, but I doubt they'll do it.

Set 1: Cyclops, Angel, Beast, and Ice-Man

Set 2: Marvel Girl, Professor X (in folding wheelchair), Magneto, and Juggernaut
