    The Electrifying Debut of…Electro!

    IMG_0859.jpg IMG_0860.jpg IMG_0861.jpg IMG_0862.jpg

Here is Electro, the new character offering from the set. Right off the bat, Electro has a fantastic head sculpt which hits the sweet spot of being both modern and yet working as something Mego could have made back in the day. This head sculpt is perfect. A slight ding against it is that it is too tall for the box and consequently the lightning bolt is bent down against his head. I’m hoping that just having it out of the box will enable it to regain its shape. The suit it nicely done, especially the lightning bolts on the gauntlets. He comes with the standard Mego boots, I kind of like the streamlined look with them off. All in all, this is a great addition to the Marvel Mego lineup.

Maybe some warm water, a hair dryer, or a light setting on a heat gun would help you straighten out the bolt on his head.

He's a great looking figure. I think he carries on that later Marvel aesthetic of Conan and Thor really well. I hope more people get a chance to own one.

Thank you for the kind words Krypt0nite! I didn’t think Electro would have issues fitting in the packaging, but I guess he did. I think Earth2Chris is right, warming the head to make it pliable and letting it cool in position will probably work.

Thank you for your photos also!

I wonder why they didn’t use an insert like the Firestorm figure?

That really looks well done. Can't wait to see other new offerings. Thanks for sharing pics.

I have almost the same figure. Costume from Brian L. and face mask from Paul W. and head from CTVT, using a classic Mego T1 Scarecrow body with yellow hands. Nice to see that they have made an official one now.

Your version looks good too, I hope Mego/Disney release other Spidey villains. By the way which CTVT head did you use?

Custom 8 inch Black Superhero Roto Molded Head

I used the superhero head and shaved his ears off, then added some magic sculpt to round out the flat spots. The angle I took the picture at makes his face look too big, but it looks awesome in person. My photog skills are sub-par. I really wish I could take good pictures with my phone. Used to do way better with a real camera.

Looks really good. Makes me look forward to what Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture, or Kraven might look like.

That sounds like a great four-pack. How about getting that one next!
