    Spider-Man’s Arch Enemy, The Lizard!

    IMG_0852.jpg IMG_0853.jpg IMG_0850.jpg IMG_0855.jpg IMG_0854.jpg
My Disney Parks Mego set arrived today and I had to open this guy first. The Lizard is my favorite Mego and having a brand new one in my hands is almost surreal. He is very well done on the new body, very tight. The bottom legs/feet look a tad smaller than the original to my eye. The hands look pretty much identical to the original. With the lab coat off you can see the differences between the new body and the original. All in all, I could not be happier with this new incarnation of an old favorite. I will post pictures of the other figures in the next day or so.

      Thank you for the review.

I see the neck is longer and tail attached differently, but I'm glad the unique tooling for the hands and lower legs was copied.

WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Very nice looking figure, I’m sure that everyone that gets them will love them.

Was this an online purchase from the 22nd? If so they must be shipping faster than thought.

No, I struck out with the online Disney purchase and bought the set off eBay.

I totally understand having to do that, pricing just sucks.

I won’t do this for every set, but the combination of having Christmas money and my love for the Lizard made this one make sense for me. I hope Disney gets all this sorted out for the next sets.

Very nice. Glad to know there r no issues with this release aside that most collectors can't buy it.....sign. Hopefully, moving forward any issues will be only in past tense.

Looking good. Was hoping to pick up a couple lizards. I’ve always been fascinated with why Mego went so far to make Lizard while often trying to cheap out on other figures. I wonder why that was?

Anyway it looks nice. Hope they end up online again.

The Lizard looks great, glad it has good tight joints that are not super stiff like the 50th anniversary ones, the tail looks longer than the original too. It’s too bad old school Mego couldn’t have used the green Lizard head and body for the Gorn, but it makes sense why they couldn’t.

It occurred to me that this repro Lizard box might have looked better with the carded Lizard logo and cardback art. I like those elements, more striking IMO.

While I appreciate the fidelity of the repro box, it's not as if Mego Corp. hadn't already veered away from that with their DC boxes.
