Replacement 2018-today Mego Parts?

Hi all. I have had two newer Mego figures (Kanamit, flocked Wolfman) have one of their legs fall off this week due to a snapped hook on a hip pin. I wasn't even moving these pieces when this damage was discovered, telling me that it's either a design or material flaw in these parts. The hooks aren't strong enough to stay in one piece against the bands used at manufacturing.

Does anyone know if Mego Corporation provides replacement pieces for damaged figures? If not, do reproduction T2 pins fit the new bodies?

Good advice. I will look into both.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Are these just coincidentally timed isolated incidents or it it just a matter of time before all of my Mego 2018 T2s disintegrate at their hips?

It is definitely an issue others have experienced. I assume that was part of the motivation for Mego to create their new bandless body.

I believe we were told that it has to do with the strength of today's plastics vs. the way they could make them in the '70s. Anecdotally, it seems more likely to affect bodies with a non-standard tint.

I have loads of figures that are just fine, but it is definitely a risk with the banded figures... and like I said, certain characters seem more susceptible than others.
