Part of the aesthetic is not just the size but the angular nature of it. The Hulk body is close on size but all wrong on the sleek angular aesthetic and wouldn't capture the look or feel of the animated series. There isn't a current Mego 90r Mego clone) body that would, and that look is so intrinsic to the TAS identity, something without would feel like a cheap imitation not a celebration of it. I love TAS. I love Mego. However, I don't think the two make a good fit with the kind of stuff Mego has traditionally produced.

I sort of agree. I had several of the twelve inch scale cloth outfit BTAS figures and they were ok but they weren’t great. I’m. It sure the 90s look transfers to cloth well.

Batman the animated series might have to leave some charectors out or put Clayface, Bane ,and Kroc on New Hulk bodies . Manbat would be a problem but Batman , Robin , Joker, Twoface etc could be done . I also wan't a Mego Homelander from The Boys and Invincible figures

The action figures didn't copy the cartoon, they created there own version but went with the costume. Look at what McFarlane is doing in his Batman TAS, they look like the cartoon but not a carbon copy.

And they have remained unpurchased by me because they, to me, are just variants of the characters, not truly TAS versions. If you are going to embrace a line, embrace what makes it beloved and what defines it. If not, its just a marketing ploy. I don't need more action figures, but I will get new figures that excite me, A TAS line that is a pale shadow of what the TAS identity line is doesn't excite me and won't get purchased by me.

I'll also say the original action figures were designed with playability in mind, they were meant to be toys that got used, not collectibles that would be displayed, and that is a big factor in the decisions they made in the design of those figures. For modern action figures, that's not really a factor anymore. Modern toys are display pieces, not playthings. If it's for display, there are different factors in the design decisions you can make.

Mcfarlane toys has been selling these pretty well with other sites talking about them . I had the originals before I sold them years ago and would be fine with them .

I don’t know what category it might fit in but I’d love to see a Richard Roundtree Shaft figure.

I think a tasteful 70s black film category could be fun. Add in Blacula and Pam Grier and I’m in

Mego '70's "BLACTION!" figures! I dig it!

I could go for Fred Williamson as Jefferson Bolt (That Man Bolt). Also, Teresa Graves (Get Christie Love!) and Tamara Dobson (Cleopatra Jones). Now there's a shared universe team-up movie I'd like to have seen!

Can you imagine a 70s movie with those six characters? Maybe the werewolf from that weird movie with Peter Cushing. A full seven. AI movie makers, you have your assignment

I am being dead serious here, that would be awesome. I love the Remco McDonaldland figures.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
