This is a pass for me. I'd rather see her in a black outfit, with better boots and gloves, and that head has got to GO!

What is wrong with FTC that they can't get the head sculpt at a decent size? When Mego first introduced Dinah mite, her head was in perfect proportion to the rest of her. Then they started getting licenses for WOZ, the Waltons, etc, and the head sizes blew up for the females.

And if they are NOT going to revamp the female body, I am simply not going to spend my money.

FTC has three perfectly serviceable Mego female dupes (Gal, Inv. Girl, and teen). If the new sculpts and sizing are such a continual problem, I don't see why these Mego heads can't be modified/resculpted for new characters.

Heck, comparing Mego Wonder Woman and Isis proves that even a good repaint can "alter" a sculpt substantially. Personally, I don't want an original Poison Ivy--just a redheaded IG repaint.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

As a matter of fact, FTC shouldn't release any more ladies until they develop a new female body. I really like this Silver Age Batgirl head sculpt but the body detracts so much from the figure... Also, that Farrow guy has a compulsion to sculpt heads with open mouths or toothies. Every time he does that he spoils the character...

Actually I was just giving the pictures another look. I think if you made the black forehead wider, it would make the top of the head look more in scale with the jaw.

If FTC ever made a kick butt female body, most of us would crack open every female figure we have and replace the old bodies with the new one. THAT would make them a butt load of money!!! You would think that would be motivation enough.

I wish Shazam Mary Marvel and Lois Lane had gotten new head sculpts instead of Super Gals heads.

Starfire and Raven have new heads and new Wonder Woman line is supposed to, also.

Females Mego never made should have new heads. Fingers crossed for New Teen Titans 8" Wonder Girl new head sculpt!

I agree 100%. It just irritates me that we keep getting these malformed female heads that are such an insult to the source material. Seriously. Irritates. Me.

This gal may look like she is a smoother sculpt from the pic, but her right eye is higher then the left, her jaw is too big and she looks just wonky. Like the lights are on but no one is home.

Nope, looks like another attempt to rush out another Batgirl hoping for better ratings from collectors.
If there doing this with Batgirl, then I can only imagine what the heck Catwoman is going to look like?

I doubt he's choosing how to make the sculpts look expression-wise. I imagine they give him an image and he sculpts whatever they give them.

Maybe he does choose though, I have no idea.

I'd tend to agree with you--look at Sivana, based on JGL stock art rather than any classic look--but then again Scarecrow is based in a comics cover rather than the much more traditional stock art. Bizarro is anyone's guess. In general, though, it seems driven by style guides.

Poison Ivy should be interesting, as the style guide FTC is using is a bit off-model.

Some companies nail the female head sculpt, some don't. Toy Biz had some of the ugliest female figures in their Marvel Legends line, from head to toe, but Hasbro has proven that a great looking female figure can be done at the 6" scale. While not as bad as Toy Biz, FTC seems to be too close to that model for their female sculpts. Maybe that's just not The Farrow's strong suit. If that's the case, contract a sculptor for the female figures. They don't do that many of them (although, they are started to have a greater output lately).

I just don't get it. They can nail a likeness with Jayna from Superfriends but not with this likeness of Batgirl?

I really don't see a good sculpt there, crooked eyes (again) and the big man jaw are really bad.
