Got it - but why pay full retail? That is my point
look around before you buy. Most of the big sites offer free shipping when you spend over 70 (some cases less)

Also as much as people hate ebay - you can get some great deals - and most of the time with free shipping
Most people paid between 79-85 for the twins some with free shipping some without

Here is the link to the 1 I won just so u know I'm not blowing smoke: 59.99 free shipping (and he sold 2 at that price)

gotta put a price in your head that you are willing to pay, and just stick to it, sooner or later you will grab something at the price you want.
maybe day, maybe a week... maybe a month but if your willing to wait there is no doubt you will get it less then retail

I find when stuff first hits its real high - so I tend to just wait it out if I can

Gotten better how? Sure in comparison to when CTVT started with their first bodies, but not that much of improvement

The plastic is still lightweight cheap! The male bodies are tight causing the arms to flare out like they are getting ready to change into Wonder Woman. The Fat bodies are a floppy mess (see Mr Freeze and Cheif Ohara) and the female body is terrible (giant hips and a torso that flops all over)....my "rants" are true considering I own these figures and have to swap out bodies on EVERY one I buy

Figure is nice when fixed/improved. Yes,FTC could of made it better, but the figure doesn't suck at all

yeah, it looks better after you spend another 10-15 bucks on it. but it shouldn't be defective out of the box either, extra neck hole, paint rubs, cape with wires poking thru, stupid baby hands, frozen joints, floppy arms with already broken thru joints, etc. Its pure crap for 30 bucks. If it were about 15 dollars cheaper it'd be quasi acceptable.

and as for the bodies, All I do is replace the rubber with O-rings and its a perfectly fine figure. THE fat bodies have a different shoulder joint that eliminates the arms sticking out. None of mine are floppy at all.

What size O-ring are you using? If it wasn't for the tightness, the FTC bodies are not that bad. I wouldn't mind trying to salvage them with the O-rings.

the extra neck hole, you guys are making a big deal out of nothing. You can't see the second hole at all and it's likely there because of how the hair was plugged in.

My capes were fine on mine.Maybe you got a dud.FTC will replace the cape.Just ask them

Frozen joints was an easy to fix just by moving them and its no longer an issue after the body swap anyway.

I think we should get more for $30 bucks, but this is FTC we are talking about. They don't plan on changing the body anytime soon.Since I have been collecting FTC (66 Batman,Conan and now Superfriends) it has always been having to change out the body.So yeah,I already know that I'll be spending more money to make them better

I'm not sure, I lost the card that came with the box of them, its just a touch bigger than a penny in diameter. I use a hook made out of wire to pull them thru using the hip pin and the arm metal loop from the original hardware, then they are perfectly good bodies, despite what people say. I have to redo EMCE's sometimes like this too.

again, that extra hole is not there for rooting hair. IF you had done it before you would know better. Its a screw up somewhere in the sculpting/molding process that FTC did not want to retool. "ahh just make another hole" This figure absolutely takes the cake for me. I will have a hard time buying any more figures from them after this mess. Catwoman is going to be a big steaming pile if this one is any indication.

even so,you cannot see the second hole at all.

I'll be buying Catwoman and swapping her body out.I am sure they'll be rooting her hair differently because her hair works the same as the rest of the females they do.I doubt they'll mess it up like you seem to be hoping for

not hoping for, expecting after this mess. Catwoman and Batgirl should be top of the line, not phoned in like this. I have been absolutely happy with this line till now. the second hole talk reminds me of Quagmire's discovery of a fourth hole.

Agree completely. It has NOTHING to do with hair rooting at all. I have rooted many heads and trust me when I say this. There is NO reason that rooting requires a second hole. Period. End of story. To take the stance of "well, it doesn't show anyway so don't worry about it" is taking the easy way out. This head sculpt is just sad.

I am not the praying kind but I am doing some serious finger crossing that Catwoman comes out better.

Not taking sides here, not even trying to rationalize or justify. Just my $.02...
My Batgirl has no paint rubs, no wires poking thru, and no frozen joints. She DOES have a floppy right elbow (and stupid baby hands!) The extra head hole is bizarre but means nothing to me.
I totally agree no one should have to upgrade/fix a brand new figure. It's also unfortunate that FTC raised their prices without raising their quality.
I also was disappointed with the Batgirl head size/sculpt considering how excellent their '66 line had been.
She is the first female fig I ever bought, or ever wanted. I have literally been wanting '66 Batman figs since I was a kid playing with Megos.
But I don't consider it a pile of crap. Flawed and disappointing, yes, but she will look good in a custom window box sitting on my shelf with her costars.

that's what FTC did, took the easy way out instead of scrapping a head that was obviously screwed up and going back to the drawing board. If they are indeed working on new bodies for some figures, Batgirl, Catwoman, WW, Black Canary, etc all would warrant investing in a new body type for the female figures. The Mego copy needs to be put out to pasture.
