I got my Batgirl yesterday and opened her up today. I'm ok with her head size to be honest (even though it might actually be a tad bigger than Batman's head), and an eventual mustache comb to her hair hopefully will improve the look. What I am greatly disappointed with is that her right elbow is EXTREMELY LOOSE. Like a limp piece of vermicelli. Can't pose it at all. I'm sure the factory was aware of this as she was set in her package at an angle, propping her elbow up in a kind of action pose. Refer to the pic below to see what I mean. Anyone else have this problem?

Other than that she looks ok, but I was really hoping to say that she looks awesome--unfortunately that's not the case, especially with those God-awful hips. FTC should really look into fixing that issue.

Swap out the body......The loose arm fix goes away swapping them onto the mattel cheetah body using the pegs. You just need a hair dryer to soften the plastic, then push in the peg.The plastic will stretch once heated enough to get the peg in the hole and then once it cools, the plastic hardens back up and has a nice tight joint after.

Really nice job Teemu. A huge improvement. Was the body swap difficult?

Not too bad....The gloved forearms needed to be swapped (I used the cheetah pins which corrects the looseness). The head peg on the cheetah body needs thickened, otherwise you have a really bad bobblehead.I highly recommend owning a hairdryer,it works wonders when dealing with the parts swap..

The figure looks really good after the swap and great in person

oh yeah, goin' a-shrinkin' ! Incidentally, the back of Yvonne's mask also had more of a pointed-V design in the back at the hairline, so hoping I can redesign the back of the hair a bit too

I wanted this but the head just kills me, I would think that they would address this already.......

Never saw the advantages of the Mattel body; the hips are similar to the Megos, and the body shape, knock knees and floppy waist (painfully apparent in the pics above) make it worse than the Mego body to my eye. The torso detail is about the only advantage, and that's lost under the costume here.

But I don't think ANY body could help that head unless it was 10" scale. That's the worst oversizing yet, making Alfred look small headed by comparison. I may have to do something and replace it with a standard head or modded Barbara to make the figure even displayable. FTC should be ashamed of offering that...

I completely agree with Scott on this. Batgirl was the figure we've wanted most since wave 1, and this effort was poor at best. While we all would have had nerd rage if FTC had said "The figure just isn't where we need it to be yet, so we're delaying it one wave" we all would have appreciated the commitment to the product and the collector. And I know, they probably needed a 4th figure for the wave, but there had to be different options than this abomination.

I've been looking on ebay for a custom Barbara Gordon 66 Batgirl head (the same one Jessica and a few others have used) but it isn't a current listing that I can find. Anyone have any resources? I'm guessing that it's a hot item right about now. If I can't find it, and I am really not happy with the FTC version when I get her, I will be doing my own, more in-scale head.

I disagree....The Mattel body CLEARLY helps this figure (I have proved that in my pics and it looks great in person)

The FTC female hips are awfully oversized and the Mego's isn't that much better (it's better than FTC,but it's still hippy as I own an original WW)

The oversized Head complaints are exaggerated! Placing her on the Mattel body proves this. She is no different than the rest of the 66 batman figures I have displayed on my shelf and they look darn good and once on the better S type bodies, they got better and look better!

She is no abomination! Her costume is done very well (expect for the oversized cape) and her sculpt is better in person.I definitely recommend her if anyone plans to swap her out on a better body.It makes a HUGE difference.I get it,we shouldn't have to swap bodies (I agree),but if you want better, there is no choice other than not collect these.

66 Batman is FTC's BEST line and I am pretty happy with the 14 figures I have on my shelf including Batgirl

Try typing 'custom mego head' in the search box. The seller 'wadewildon2013' makes excellent mego heads. I think he did Jessica's Batgirl head.

Just connected with him. I have bought several heads from him and have never been disappointed. He will be listing more Batgirl heads soon.

Sorry, maybe I'm in the very low minority hear, but after reading all these posts about swapping bodies
alterations, even possible head shrinking, it's like your spending $30.00 to pretty much create a better
figure then the one you bought. I know FTC can't please everyone, but why the factory makers of these figures
can't see for themselves that heads, bodies, clothing and accessories might need correcting before being
released to the public domain? Would you rather pay a little more for a better product, that you won't have to
bother spending the time and money to fix? or spend your money on a cheaper so-so effort from the factory,
then have to play Dr. Frankenstein and have to fix it up and make it to your personal liking.

We as the consumer buyer shouldn't have to spend time and extra money to fix something brand new.

I know someone would say, (well if your not happy don't buy it) but when it comes to this hobby we wait
patiently for something we badly want, then when it's released its a disappointment, but we want it so bad
we're willing to spend the money, (I'm sure the factory makers know this) then have to make are own personal
changes, should we really need to do that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not venting on FTC, without them we wouldn't have much to look forward too, but
my issue is with the actual factory makers of these so called new and improved versions, who I feel rush to
put out a product, figuring, well even if there not completely satisfied, they will fix on there own, or won't care
since there just going to take them out of the clamshell case and play with them or just leave in the case for display
                                purposes only.

all this being said is my own personal opinion, feel free to disagree, it's all good.
