I would love to see series 1 KISS heads loose. They offer the others, but not those and those are my favorite.

Even T5 Batman 66 loose head 'with removable cowl'. Wow. That was fast to be available for sale.

The early adopters will always buy right away. I don't want the clams, but I want the figures now, not maybe later (maybe because there is no guarantee everything on card will get released bagged), so I buy them on the card. But some people are becoming more patient, waiting for the cheaper bagged figure or a deal on eBay or somewhere else. If EE and BBTS start getting stuck with too many of these, they will stop ordering them. BBTS has already taken to selling some series as sets only. I cannot imagine retailers were thrilled to see the Shark and a webbed Aquaman being sold as separate pieces, even though the box was part of the charm of that set for some people.

Hopefully it all balances out. I am not a customizer and I am a tweaker usually by necessity, but seeing all this stuff broken down as parts has be trying to think of uses and something to build, modify and/or improve!
I hear ya. I want a '66 Batgirl, but just for the outfit. $10 for the outfit vs. $30 for the figure is quite a savings, and there's also the savings in shipping. I can be patient, but there's the risk they never sell the outfit loose. What to do???

Flip side, I had no interest in a carded Bizarro (better ways to spend my money) but will probably pick up the head & suit. So a case where no loss of a sale of a carded figure, but gained a sale of the parts.

That said, yup bagged figures & loose heads/outfits will cut into sales of carded figures. How much? Hard to say, but there will always be collectors that want 'mint in package' and have no interest in a bagged figure. Plus I think a lot of people dig the card artwork.

I agree, hopefully it all balances out.

A lot of people don't care if their figures come in clamshells, plus shipping charges (not the fault of CTVT) aren't getting any cheaper.

So it seems like CTVT's response to this was bagged figures. Can sell cheaper, and shipping should be cheaper.

    Kinda a win/win.

The other thing is a lot of people buy a CTVT/FTC figure and pitch the body & transfer everything over to another body. Its my belief this is why CTVT is now offering DC heads & complete outfits separately. They can sell more accessories & make more money while spending less money on bodies people kinda 'hate'.

This can only help the sales the Type S or Doc's buff bodies. Might lead to a better female body.

    Just my thoughts
