    How many people would prefer.....

To see them actually get going with the 12 inch line of figures that they were promising.

I know that they have done the Dukes, and J.R. Ewing, but their female figure is seriously lacking!

I remember when they first announced that they would be doing a fully articulated female body, and I was thrilled. As much as I loved Barbie back in the day, her articulation was not something to write home about. Only able to swivel at the waist, bend her legs, and move her head.

    That was it.

But a fully articulated female 12 inch body done in Mego style? At a much kinder to the wallet price than something like Obitsu or Triad Toys? I was SO stoked!

They announced it, and nothing. Only one picture of the prototype body, but nothing ever came about as far as heads or clothes and accessories was EVER released.

As much as I wish them success with their varied lines, I wish that they had gone ahead with this.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I'd love to see DC figures at 12 inch. Other than that, no real interest here in much else.

When does Sideshow's 12" DC license end which SS got in 2011? That's been 5 years and there's only been 5 figures and Green Lantern announced for $230! SS seems more interested in DC Premium Format STATUES than 12" figures. So Warner should give FTC a chance with 12" DC figures.

If they do the Super gals in a "12"format ,they best do it with a classic articulated body ,and not that awful Daisy Duke body, same goes for the"18".i would
get them only under those conditions .it would be a shame if they dont .

Oh, I HATE that 18 inch body! Where on EARTH would you be able to keep it? Most shelves aren't made for something that large, and you can't just stick it in a toy chest for the same reason.

but an 18 inch Giganta and Apache Chief would be great and sell like crazy. DC 12 inch won't happen as long as Hot Toys has the scale.

I was profoundly disappointed they didn't give Daisy Duke an appropriate articulated body in the 12 inch scale. I even switched my eight inch version to the EMCE version which is perfect. I certainly get your frustration JediJaida. If FTC is going to charge big money for these figures, they shouldn't be on dollar store style bodies with limited articulation. I think doing that with Daisy was very telling to they're lack of commitment to building a female body to pose properly.

There are lots of options of 12 inch figures. I think staying in 8 inch, where they can be differentiated from the rest of the market, is smart.

That said... I would certainly welcome more female body options in 8 inch. Both the Mattel and Zica bodies show what a difference a well-designed female body can make for 8 inch figures.

When it comes to 8 inch, if they were to go the bandless route, I would DEFINITELY buy more of the female bodies. I love nostalgia as much as the next person, but the new stuff just has too many quality control issues for me to part with my money.

If the torso were more like that of the Rood Speel Supergirl, with a better range of motion and slightly more realistic proportions, a female figure in 8 inch scale would be wonderful.

12 inch would be even better.

Of course, you have to have heads in the proper proportion. Even classic Mego girls suffered from the humongous noggin syndrome. All except for their front runner, Dinah mite; her head was in perfect scale to her body. I don't know why Mego started up making bigger heads for their female figures, but it wasn't one of their better decisions.
