My original order was declined because of a replaced CC. I received an email that it was declined, but I don't think I ever received a phone call. Could be wrong and I just didn't answer the call.
I placed the order again and it has shipped, but the tracking number isn't working. It's shorter than the usual USPS tracking number, so I think it might be wrong. They will probably arrive any day now, if they were shipped, but I might email to have them check the tracking number anyway.Comment

As for the released Super Friends:
Superman: THe head is a bit too big, but not Alfred/Bizarro bad. It misses the likeness mark by a pretty wide margin, looking nothing like the Alex Toth design, as evidenced by the picture on the card. It's oddly thin front to back, as well. The costume is decent, though the "S" is way too small (again, definitely not matching the original designs) and too high. The cape, on the other hand, is nicely done, like the batcapes in the '66 line. That little bit of wire adds a surprising amount to the display options you have with the figure; you really can give the cape a nice looking flow. The belts are a conundrum of a good idea and a really bad design. The end sticking out so far looks bad, and it is a needless eyesore. If the belts were sized correctly so the clasp was directly in the back, and the end of the belt made a bit shorter, it would work quiet nicely. You can loop it back through one of the belt loops on his back (and tuck it into itself on Robin), but it really is a design misfire. Too bad, as both belts actually look pretty good otherwise. The boots work a lot better than i though they would; they are thicker than, say, Thor's or the Titans boots were back in the day, but they aren't bad at all.
Robin: big head on par with Supes, but also not horrendous (just unnecessary). Likeness is okay, but the hair shape is off. Still a recognizable Robin, just not a great SF version. Cape is great with the wire like Supes, and the black trim on the inside really elevates the whole figure. It could fit a bit better around the neck (especially if the wires came all the way around the front), but it's not bad. The '66 style boots and gloves work well here, especially the newly sculpted boots. Aside from the aforementioned belt problem, the head is the only partial misfire here.
Samurai: Pretty much a home run with only a couple minor quibbles. Big quibble is the off colored boots; they aren't even close to the color of the outfit. The other problem is again with the hair shape; Sam's do is much to close to his head, as is apparent by the picture on the card. The face, though, is pretty much dead on, as is the costume. It takes a little finagling to get it straight, but they did a great job on the details, especially the trunks, where the actually took the time to sew separate pieces together to capture the correct look (even I didn't bother to do that on my custom Samurai, so kudos to FTC for going the extra mile here). He's the best of this batch easily.
Apache Chief: Truthfully, the hair flip on the bottom of his do is the only minor problem I can see, and there are some shots where it does look like that laying on his shoulders. Aside from that, the head sculpt is dead on. Love the special material they used; again, they could have just used the regular jersey knit here and no one would have thought ill of it. Again, a case of going beyond the minimum, and it's appreciated. The costume is pretty well perfect, and here the boots match nicely with the clothes, and are another case of going all the way as far as the details go, with three painted seams per boot. And the boot style couldn't work more perfectly in this case, as AC's boots aren't supposed to be skin tight. Now we just need an 18" scaled version
And that brings me to a heartfelt plea: PLEASE, FTC, PLEASE do this. Make an 18" Apache Chief. It is the most perfect use of the 18" body I can think of, and I can honestly see that being your best selling 18" figure, because it isn't just a big version of an existing 8" figure, it is a big figure you can actually USE with the 8" figures.
Now that's out of my system, so I'll get back to the existing figures. Supes and Robin miss the mark a bit, but Sam and AC are pretty much on the mark. If the rest of the figures come out closer to the latter two, I'll be very pleased to add them all to my collection.Comment
