Except for J'Onn, they look really good:
J'Onn: Another figure with a big head. Seriously, why? Hal is just about perfect scale from the packaged pic, and he has a brand new head sculpt. The sculpt itself is an almost perfect bronze age version of J'Onn; the brows are pronounced, but not too heavy, and he doesn't just look like a bald human. I guess we're never going to get this problem fixed, so it's always going to be a toss up whether any figure is going to be done right. J'Onn is one of my all time favorites, and I'm ticked they had to mess him up like this when Flash and GL are just fine.
GL: Thank the Guardians, his head is actually the right size; this would have been a case where I would have passed on the figure altogether simply out of frustration had he had Alfred syndrome. The sculpt looks great, even the hairstyle is just right (pure Mike Grell). I like the way the gloves were done overall; only minor gripe is that he is going to stand out a little with the other DC classic Mego styled heroes. Maybe they can make him with the classic white hands/material glove tops in a later release? I am glad they went with actually sewing the green and black hourglass shape of the torso rather than just doing a screen print; I realize Mego would likely have done the former, but he fits in with some of the better costumes made later in the line, so that doesn't make him stand out in my eyes. FTC could have cheaped out here, but they went with the upscale option, which is appreciated. If he looks like this in final form, I've got a new favorite Mego.
Flash: Head looks maybe a touch big in the package shot, but fine where he's running; even if the package shot is accurate, it's still within, say, Thor sizing, so it's not too bad. Not sure he needed the turtleneck, but it will keep him from showing flesh around the neck plug, so it's not a bad idea. He's pretty much dead on to what a Mego Flash would have been, though I think the belt and glove bolts are likely applied like the chest emblem, so they are likely a lot sharper than what we would have seen in the 70's. Nice, nice figure.
Plas: heads a tad big, but the exaggerated face mitigates that a lot. THe added highlights in the goggle lenses is a very nice touch, something I never would have expected; above and beyond there. I agree, this is one case where the leggings would have made him more comic accurate, the rare case they were actually needed, but I've got a spare Tarzan suit, so I can easily fix that. The costume with the actual tie in front is excellent. A teeny bit of head shrinkage and leggings would have made him darn near perfect.
