I'm glad I got mine a month or two after its release. I bought it from a UK seller (new), and paid about $35 in total.
It's great that more fans are getting the chance to pick one up now, hopefully with decent shipping costs for us European collectors.

I can only dream to have this kind of quality book for the rest of the Mego Universe (ST, POTA,..) as well.

The Special Edition IS slightly thicker, as the Special Edition also features a 10-page addendum that highlights FTC's 8" Mego-style offerings.

Oh, so you think are some kind of authority on this?

I choose to believe whatever I want, or whatever I read on Facebook.

Now, for those of you who want the truth...

The new book is a MEGO book. Is is 1:1 scale with Mego figures. It is 1" x 1.3". It only has a couple pages (more of a board book, like toddlers read)

I rather like that idea; I have the original, but certainly wouldn't mind adding some new volumes covering other areas. The original is still one of the best retrospectives yet produced on the Mego heroe, if not THE best.

I don't want to ruin any shockers

So all I will say is - there is some stuff in this book that are not in the original book

I never had the original - but man do I love this book! Ben hats off to you
                the pictures are beyond amazing!

was going through my special edition , noticed that iron man carded is projected to perhaps go as high as 20.000 .which is 5.000 more
then the first edition projected .thats quite a jump in speculation from 2007 to 2015 .The FTC stuff featured is like a catalog of their
products .I would like FTC to produce a catalog of all their figues to date ,kinda like their old one from 2005.There is so much product being
produced that they should update a catalog every year with a check list ,you could check their web site i suppose, but its possible that
some of their pictured figures might be deleted from the site over time once they sell out .i would buy a check list catalog to keep an eye
                  on all their figures.
