Hmm. They're servicable, but that's about it, in my opinion.

Yes, the toner Batgirl is beautiful, like I said in another thread, this 66 series is 50/50 RC Batman
and Barbara Gordon should sell well, I don't have a problem with Barbara Gordon face, but Batgirl?
why not use Barbara face sculpt with cowl? Chief O'Hara is not terrible but it does have that Richard Nixon
vibe, maybe the next 66 series, will see the Siren and she can tell O'Hara to go jump in Gotham lake.

Am I excited to see these? Yes. Are they exactly as I'd hoped they'd be? No. Will I be buying these? Yes.

I have to confess, Yvonne's death has hit me harder than I would've expected. Not sure why.

If I might offer my opinions: Megos are DOLLS. Female dolls should be "pretty". I can't think of an actress who was more "doll-like" in life than Yvonne Craig, and I mean that with the utmost warmth and sincerity. She was beautiful. These dolls are not. But I'm so hungry for all things Yvonne/Batgirl, I will be buying anyway.

Honestly, here's a situation where Tonner excells. Their portrait of Yvonne, while maybe not Hot Toys accurate, is pretty, and pleasant to look at. I think "The Farrow's" problem is, he is aiming for Hot Toys accuracy in a format where you run the risk of making the product look like a hot mess if you strive for that kind of likeness.

Here's the Tonner. I know scale wise, it's apples and oranges, but still...

Fans have been waiting a long time for the 66 females, and expectations have grown high. They needed to deliver.

Look very nice from the picture.

Sadly appropriate that the announcement comes just after Yvonne Craig has passed away.
    UH where's the pics?????????

Barbara looks pretty good. O'Hara is off, and the richard Nixon vibe is strong, but if he comes with a hat, I think he'll be passable. Batgirl's head looks bigger than Bruce's; I thought we might actually be getting somewhere with the huge melons, but it's obvious it's still going to be hit and miss forever more. Sorry guys, but it's frustrating that FTC can't do something Mego did more than four decades ago with only a handful of exceptions: make a head in scale with the body. Given the advancements in toy making and manufacturing, there's NO excuse for them to keep making the same mistake over and over. None. Batgirl was probably my most anticipated figure in this line, and she majorly disappoints here. I know the '66 figures have slightly enlarged heads, but only a couple have been really bad. This is the worst one yet, and it will be produced exactly as you see it, as EVERY other oversized head has been. Worse, the two heads bear no resemblance whatsoever; had they used the Babs head as a baseline for Batgirl, it would have looked much better and been smaller.

And i'm not making peace with it. I'm a customer paying hard earned money for the figures they are selling me. EVERY time these things turn out like this, I will comment on it. My prerogative as an unsatisfied customer, and nothing ensures the continuation of the error more surely than simply letting it go without comment. If there's one thing that I've learned from buying Mattel products over the years, it's that it often takes a LONG time and MANY repetitions to get the message across.

It is almost FTC's signature move at this point. Complaining isn't helping. I've tried. Not buying figures with massive melons isn't helping. I've tried that too. I've pretty much made my peace with it. Since it obviously isn't going to change, the best others can do is make their peace as well.

    Please pardon this rant. Thanks.

HAHA! If you're referring to what I wrote, I said the same thing you said.

On second glance, Batgirls face 'could' do with slimming down somewhat.

I'm telling myself that this is a prototype pic only and Barbara won't actually look so mad and Batgirl's head won't really look that big and her hands won't look that tiny. That's what I'm telling myself. And I'm going to keep telling myself that.

I might just be skipping this whole wave, Batgirl looks terrible on that body and O'Hara as played by Richard Nixon misses the mark totally. I was already going to pass on Babs and RC Bats.

And just as Listed on FTC Facebook, Yvonne Craig, best known for her portrayal of Batgirl was able to see and approve the upcoming retro figure that bears her likeness.

I'm pretty happy with this first picture. I wish we could have seen how they do Batgirl's boots. It does make me nostalgic for the old series. I will probably get at least Batgirl and RC Batman. If I do that, I'll probably try to get the RM Robin as well. I don't see an easy way that they could do a RC Batgirl without having removable hair.

I'm still hoping that they do a set with Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon dressed up with a few jewels for the bad guys to steal. The victim set!
