WOOOOOW!!!! What a difference!!!!!!!! Thanks Comicmike!Captact, that's a beautiful rendering. Thanks for posting! I am not touching the scale topic, but I am admiring the Farrow's sculpt for it's own art. I compared it to some Batgirl TV pics, and I think the sculpture alone is an honor to Yvonne under that mask. I am inspired now to plan out a 'paintjob' for the sculpt. I am thankful for my digital drawing tool. It helps me figure out a better likeness, so I can customize my Batgirl: New eyes, lightened lips, cheek shadows, and a matte/flocked mask shadow and ears shadows...

And what about Batgirl colored hands?
Rubber gloves at a reasonable scale was a must for this figure. Beside their excellent Batman and Robin it will seem like she belongs to another line.
Very disappointing.Leave a comment:

I don't want to be negative, but I hope that in person they look a lot better. I've enjoyed most of the figures offered by FTC, that being said.Leave a comment:

Each type of plastic has a specific shrink rate. When a piece is sculpted that will be used to make a tooling master, the shrink rate of the plastic that the production pieces will be cast in needs to be taken into account. Using PVC as an example, it has a shrink rate of around 4%. This means that the tooling master needs to be be approximately 4% larger than what a production piece will be. There's also the option of making the tooling master in the correct scale and have the factory adjust for the shrink when they make the mold.Maybe this has been discussed in another thread, but what is the cause of the scale issues with some of these figures' heads? I'm not trying to stir up complaints ... I am genuinely asking. I'm sure FTC sees/knows of this, right?
I guess I'm asking where in the figure making process does the scale of the head "go wrong?"Leave a comment:

I guess also I have to say, I'm a little shocked at FTC's photography. That picture is so small and grainy and almost pixelated. I'm sure it does nothing to flatter the figures. But with the rising prices of these figures, they ought to hire someone to photograph them professionally. We're all judging something that looks like it was taken with an older cell phone. I realize it's just sneak peak, but if it were my company, I'd want to make my product look as good as it can, like Sideshow or Hot Toys does.Leave a comment:
