I love that Superman, it's hands down the best 1:9th scale I've ever seen of Supes.

I've always that thought that you should be able to take one look into Superman's eyes, and you should feel "safe" in the presence of the most powerful being in the world (if not the Universe).

I'd say that "Ross" interpretation of Supes takes into account that "fatherly" element that George Reeves (and the Golden Age overall) seemed to emanate. I like it. But I also like the softer approach of a guy w/a face like Chris Reeve or Cavill.....a contrast that, I believe, is another reminder that its important to stay focused on a Superman "Justice, American Way" archetype in showing his actions, his choices in a dramatic context---the Superman character has an array faces (belts, boots, "S" symbols, etc), but only one heart.

Might not be a bad match; Ross draws/paints heroes and villains like real people, not bloated steroid cases as has become the trend in the last couple decades. The Mego type bodies fill that bill pretty well, proportions-wise.

There are some really great heads on ebay right now for Batman and Superman that look like they were inspired by the Alex Ross designs. I'm really tempted to do custom figures with them. But I'd hate to put that much time into it if FTC has anything coming down this year along those lines.

I really want to see what they do with the Super Friends line as far as head sculpts and costuming.

I'd also REALLY love to see them make progress on the Neal Adams style figures, but we haven't heard anything on that in months. I'm starting to think they have put that idea on "infinity hold".
