I don't mind the variant exclusives. I own so many different but similar Batmans, Supermans, Spider-Mans, Captain Americas, Hulks, Thors, etc. If they are different enough and make sense, then I like them. And if I don't? Easy skip.

With these though, it is the prices that is killing them for me. And only selling them as sets makes it even less likely for me to purchase.

Hopefully the Toycade exclusive is just one figure. I will pay the extra cost for a good, limited exclusive variant without having to buy four more figures with it.

I really hope Toycade's exclusive is either a removable mask Riddler, or Riddler in the jacket/hat. I also thought a Emerald City Comics was getting their own exclusive this year? Isn't FTC doing any exclusives for themselves?

It's a pretty safe bet that all exclusives are going to be variants of characters with pre-existing molds. Although I would love to see a little guy like us get their own King Tut, it's just never going to happen. I will say this. We committed to our 2nd exclusive because of its very cool accessory. We think you will want the figure just for its accessory. An accessory that is never going to be offered again in any other format.

That's really cool. Can't wait to see who it is!

better not be another variant or you're gonna sit on a lot of stock....my guess you have a suited Riddler = pass for me

    Okay, first:
ARRRRGGGGHHHHH! What have they got against Alfred's noggin? Both Alfreds are now in need of medical attention for encephalitis. I really hoped FTC had taken care of that problem, but this Alfred looks as bad as the first. That is becoming a deal breaker for me if it keeps happening.

    Second:

ARRRRGGGHHHH! What a price!!! Not FTC's doing, I know, and I understand they are limited run, but, wow, that's really off-putting. Definitely a pass for me.

But with this pushed out this week, maybe the Friday news will be the next Batman 66 wave on pre-order. Definitely with Alfred in the wave in his suit since he is a new head sculpt and obviously is ready to go.

So let the speculation begin. Who else will join Alfred in the next 66 wave? Will it be good enough to draw us in or just another Wave Goodbye???

Tune in Friday to find out.

Queue 66 Batman spiral bat symbol.

I think I'll start calling them VFTC ("Variant-Figure Toy Company")

Since they seem to be doing only sets,I think I'll see if these are still around when EE has their big Christmas sale and get them then.

Nope. These are a EE Exclusive, so FTC will not be selling these.

Maybe they will sell the parts individually though, down to Alfred's apron.

I would buy these, but the price is steep for non-gotta have exclusives. I just want Alfred and Bruce; maybe Dick too. Too may sets are coming out that I want to pick & choose from and that is getting harder and harder to do outside of FTC's website. And I wonder how much longer before they get pressure from their retail partners for selling the figures individually.

I will wait until the release date gets closer to see what else goes up for pre-order. My funds are not limitless!

I personally don't buy variants, but the upcoming figures ...

    Julie N & Eartha K Catwoman!
    Batgirl & Barbara Gordan!
More villians ... This set will be FANTASTIC once complete ... is it greedy to want more? It is really a compliment ... FTC has nailed this line (in my opinion).
