I look at this as extra offerings. We're getting the Superfriends later this year in addition to more of the heroes Mego never made so I'm keeping it in context to the fact this is a smorgasbord of goodness. It's way too much to buy collectively, but it sure offers options we NEVER had before. 2015 is going to be filled with allot of "wows".

Now that I see these. I can see me getting them. Maybe not Batman. Did he ever have blue trunks? Lazer can make the circle for Superman's belt.Comment

Then the character wouldn't have gloves at all. I prefer ovenmitts over an incomplete figure. But more power to you if you like the ovenmitts. They just aren't for me.Last edited by madmarva; Feb 27, '15, 10:46 AM.Comment

You could just wait until Monday to read the announcements;-) Seriously, they get us the info Wednesday or Thursday and it goes up Friday morning to coincide with the rest of the newsletter content. Like someone else noted, there are 52 Fridays in a year. All of the announcements aren't going to rock the Mego world, but some are going to be pretty awesome. The tweaks and variants between new assortments aren't hurting anything, it's not like passing on them will jeopardize Green Lantern or Hawkman. They'll get there, and variants in between are just gravy. There will be plenty of meat and potatoes. It seems to me that the waiting all week for the new news might backfire a bit if the news is small, it builds too much hype and generates a let down of sorts.
I mean so far the only news that I was even slightly interested in was the Super Friends Robin. These Justice League figures are slight changes to existing figures on different cards; variants. The variants would be a lot more appealing if we were not already paying a little high for what we get quality wise. I went from wanting to buy two of each super hero figure produced to hardly bying any. Basically I am waiting for new characters, they have the whole DC roster to choose from, lets see Green lanturn, Flash, Hawkman, etc, etc. I doubt I will buy any more figures until I see those.Comment

I see this as win-win. We are getting new versions of figures that many have passed on because they didn't need exact replicas of originals they already had and FTC is able to use existing product. Anytime you can repurpose what you already have on-hand maximizes profits and extends the life of the company and the line itself. FTC is offering those little tweaks we always said we would like. Go back and dig up a thread or two about "what one thing would you change?" and I bet a bunch of what you see today is on that list. I think these are fantastic even if some of the changes are minor.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

on stuff like this I would much rather them just release the costumes alone so I can put them on better bodiesComment

There is nothing wrong with variants and that is a win for FTC to reuse what they already have produced. There are a lot of comments in the thread about being disapointed with the announcement, I am just saying that will happen if there is hype ... cool announcement coming this Friday! Wait for it.. wait for it... here is a little hint the night before... and we repackaged Batman again without ovenmits and a too small emblem!!! Again, some announcements might be better recieved with less hype. And I hope that their expectation on the variants isn't to shock and awe the fanbase, they don't hurt anything as you say, but they won't be overly celebrated either especially if they are hyped. Thats all I am really saying. You could just wait until Monday to read the announcements;-) Seriously, they get us the info Wednesday or Thursday and it goes up Friday morning to coincide with the rest of the newsletter content.
