I really love the idea of reproducing original mego's with added improvements. I'd love to see Aquaman lose the Spock ears and Shazam get a white cape.

I don't. I wanted reproductions of the original Megos first, then any improvements later.

That said... yeah, this is a improvement that needed to be done. He is MUCH better that the original Mego version. No complaints. Actually, kudos are in order. No big head issue either and this can be considered a new figure, just like Alfred.

Me too. Thankfully, Mxp was never a figure I had or liked, so I don't care as much about the changes. If they start fiddling with the core characters like Shazam and Aquaman, that will stick out a lot more.

Looks great. Only change I would have made would have been to make him even smaller. Say, use an Our Gang Spanky body. But, I'll buy him like this anyway.

I'm guessing that is a fairly easy custom modification--I'd have chosen an Our Gang body, too.

*facepalm* as you put it: FTC hasn't been doing exacting repros since the beginning.

An ear-bob or cape-color change isn't any more significant than the many small changes or few missteps they've made.

I can agree with the scale part Joe...but making him in the first place was a "Mego wrong" to me.
