That would be a great figure, but it would require a new head sculpt as well as a new costume. With an exclusive, you may get one or the other, but not both. If you see a first appearance Riddler, it will likely be part of a wave. However, I will certainly push for that figure in the future! Who knows?

Hear, hear!
I was definitely hoping that the figure would be made; in fact, I though that it WAS going to be made. At least that's what I was led to believe.
A new headsculpt would certainly look better than the maquette I saw of Frank as the Riddler! EEE! It was HORRIBLE!
It looked like a really bad caricature of him than an actual portrait.JediJaidaComment

That's good to know! I assumed you guys just didn't care for the Riddler. See what happens when we assume? Also, just received word that our Opera Joker is arriving NEXT week! A full month early! Our pre-sells were REALLY strong so if you want one, now is the time. So sorry for the commercial, but I want to make sure these get in the hands of the "superfans."

ooh, hope that means wave 2 will show early too.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

The Riddler was the FIRST villain in the series; how could we NOT love him?
Frank Gorshin was so delightfully unrestrained in his portrayal; you really felt that this was a totally unhinged individual who was mostly into crime not just for the money, but to outsmart Batman. And he usually did at first, then the second episode would deal with his defeat.
Frank may not have been what we call a 'classical' actor, but he was an excellent character actor, and those are always more interesting.JediJaidaComment

Definitely a "superfan" here!! Can we expect Opera Joker to be shipped out next week? Or are you thinking the first week of September?
Putting my hat in for Alfred in Batman disguise ... especially after the announcement of the Alfred sculpt.Comment

Bruce Wayne 27 1967: Joker should ship from Figures late next week. We should have them early the following week.
drogge: I think we would all prefer a new unreleased figure, but if Figures had to invest in the tooling for a new sculpt for an exclusive, you would be looking at about $60 per figure since they are limited to just 600 pieces each. New tooling for a figure with a production run of 5,000 pieces makes good financial sense for them. New tooling for a figure with a production run of 600? Not so much. Still, I think you are going to be very pleased with this new batch. Of course, like last time, I think we got the best one.
Lots of great ideas! Keep them coming!Comment

In the spirit of Mego,Sonny and Cher would be my choice. Hopefully she would have fond memories of doing the original and give the green light for a new version of her.Comment

Hey, in the interest of keeping cost down...I would be MORE than happy if you just released the Riddler with a new accurate head sculpt(maybe no mask to change things up a little). Sure I would like to see the 3 piece suit, but I could live without it. Or...another way to keep cost down would be the "Joker method"....which is to silk-screen the paints, shirt, vest and tie onto a body suit and then just add the separate green overcoat? Just a thought.sigpicComment

^I'd rather they don't skimp on the suited Riddler. Remember we're talking about an exclusive here. I'm sure a maskless Riddler in suit will be forthcoming at some point down the line as a regular release. He's different enough to justify it.Comment

For me, the suited Riddler is more iconic than the plain green tights and mask. I always thought the tights lacked the flare of the comic book style. The suit is sharp and has a slew of question marks, which give's him that dynamic style the character is known for. To me that's a must-have for the '66 fans.Comment
