Wondering what figures will be coming up in the Neal Adams line...

My preference will be Neal Adams figures over those done in the original Mego style.

But will they redo the ones that they release in the Original Mego Style? Will there be a Neal Adams Superman, Wonder Woman, Bargirl to go beside the Mego-esque version?

And what other figures could be coming up in this line?

    Just curious this morning.

Did anyone ever confirm that there WOULD be any figures done in Neal Adams style? I think we are all just assuming but you know what they say about assume.

Wave 4 sounds like all Neal Adams.

Isn't that supposed to be NA Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Ra's al Ghul and Scarecrow?

I consider Alfred to be a Neal Adams figure since he appears to be done off that artwork.

It just makes me hope for a NA Superman and Wonder Woman so we have the DC Big 3.

There was an article or Facebook post that mentioned an updated Batman figure in Series 4, and many on this board expressed interest in it being Adams' version, but there was no official confirmation of what that figure would be. There has been no suggestion by FTC of a Neal Adams series of figures. Although it is a great idea since Adams did a ton of DC covers in the 70s, and the version of costumes he drew were in play through the 80s, some up until the new52. Adams' art was also used on some of the later Mego cards.

The card art FTC is using is by Garcia Lopez, who has a style, similar to Adams. Lopez worked on DC Style Guides for years and that is where much of the card art on the FTC figures is coming from.

The Scarecrow head appears modeled off Ernie Chua version of the character and the Ras Al Ghul head looked a little cartoony or stylized for Adams as reference. Maybe Micheal Golden or Marshal Rogers.

Lets change it to, "Do you think the Superman, Wonder Woman and Batgirl are the last word in those characters? Or do you think there will be updated figures for those characters too, the way they are updating Batman?" And what other classic Mego figures do you think will be updated?

I would expect to see updated versions of the Mego characters previously made, if the line lasts that long. It's a nice segue from Mego style to a more modern style (not too modern though, no New 52 please!) and keeps popular characters like the Bat Family, Superman Family, The Flash & Green Arrow (both with primetime CW shows) in play. And I think we are already seeing that new characters might fit in better with the modern versions than the Megos, like Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Scarecrow, Ras Al Ghul and Bizaarro.

Doctor Phosphorus would be pretty keen.

I would love to have a Dr. Phosphorous figure for this line. He was one of my favorite Bat-villains when I was growing up back in the day.

Some people wanted monsters, combining that with Neal Adams styling, what about the wolfman? Anthony Lupus who debuted in Batman 255, drawn by Adams (some of his best work on the title).

^ I'd buy it. That's one of my favorite Batman comics. The Animated batman series did a fine adaption of that issue.

Dr. Phosphorous got me thinking about Hawkman's nemesis, the Gentleman Ghost. I'd love to see a clear figure done like that!

A high white collar holding up the top hat and monocle seems to be the accepted way to make the figure and get around the whole headless thing. A clear skull or clear version of the Bruce Wayne head would also be acceptable I think.

Plus a clear body leads to a lot of different customs!

Loved the Gentleman Ghost, didn't realize he was classified as a Hawkman villian. The clear body Type S gives you a nice start on a custom GG figure, the kicker would be the clear head, it seems.

I always thought it would be great to use a sculpted "Victorian Gentleman" head in clear with a white-painted hat & monocle for GG.

Some here have used a modified clear Penguin head.

Hawkman's Rogues Gallery is pretty limited IMO: Blyth, IQ, Gentleman Ghost, Shadow-Thief, & Matter Master are all I can recall.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Batman (Neal Adams style) vs Man-Bat 2-pack using the cover from Detective 400 would be perfect.
