Did we learn NOTHING from Playmates 1701 fiasco? I think not.

I'm actually using my Mego repro original Riddler as a thug for the '66 version Riddler.

Just a fun variant for the handful of completists who will actually want it.
People are worried because exclusives are a slippery slope and lots of collectors have been burned by them before. Hopefully this Joker exclusive is a special case.

I have no interest in the Romero Joker anyway--I only bought the first release for the outfit, to mod my Mego Joker with. But I really hope this kind of thing doesn't happen with a figure I really want. If they gave us, say, a Justice Lord or Red Son Superman variant that was limited to 50, or a Zur-En-Ahr Batman that was limited to 50, I'd be pretty angry, because then it's Playmates Trek all over again and I'm suddenly paying scalpers through the nose. I have nothing against well-executed variants, but if one I really want turns out to be a limited edition with a jacked up price that's impossible to get my hands on without dealing with ebay and scalpers, I'll stop buying FTC figures.

I actually wouldn't be getting this one at $25. I already have a Joker and never liked the opera one.

Yeah. This is an easy pass for me too. I'm collecting the characters, not overpriced variants. I have the Joker...period. Lets move on. It goes without saying, if they start adding new characters to that price point, I'll bail there too. This is an eight inch action figure. It doesnt cost THAT much to make these things in bulk like FTC does. Plus I've come to learn that if you chase after everything, you just get overstocked in your collection and they end up going in boxes. Whats the point then?

Originally I had decided that I was going to buy every figure in this series.
I even have doubles of Batman & Robin.
However, I'm not going to spend $50.00 on a figure just because it's exclusive to one store and because there are only 500 made.

IF this was a part of a regular wave, set at a regular price, I would have bought it but I hate having to chase down the "Rare" pieces in order to complete a collection.

It just seems a little greedy on the sellers part.
FTC should think about their loyal customers and NOT send us out to chase rainbows.
    (Just my opinion)
I may not even bother buying the rest of the series because I won't have a complete collection now.

exclusives just ruin it for me.
    then the $50 price tag.
Pretty easy pass for me too.

In all fairness, FTC seemed to have done their homework and built the suit close to the original - see here:
    http://www.uncleodiescollectibles.co...man/00093.html

I would have expected his neck ruff to have been more like the original though. The handmade clown costume on Distinctive Dummies' Pennywise figure probably jaded me because it's awesomeness is impossible to beat.

Reckon if he doesn't come with his mask, Legend of Link already has one very close to use:

This is an easy pass for me. Now if they gave him a new outfit and a new head sculpt, I'd be more tempted.

Makes me think of Ralphie in the bunny suit in 'A Christmas Story'.

I really hope they don't do this with any figures from the WGSH line.

So it's basically $25 for the figure and another $25 for the outfit.
