I really like the set - I will admit I thought it would be a tad cheaper.

If you have or are making a batcave you need some of these pieces - I really like the WS Bust and also the bat phone
odds are I will cave and buy this set, these parts will look awesome in a display.

I recall Figures inc telling me one time that each mold cost big bucks any where from a few hundred to a grand.
and than you still have to pay to have the items made. If you look at all the stuff they put in there its easy to see why it costs so much.

gotta understand these guys are not in business to lose money.
so if it costs a lot to make they have to charge enough to see a profit.

I understand why some would shy away from the price tag - but I rather see items for a high tag than not at all.

I mean I laid out 65 for that mattel batmobile so I can have something to display with them.
I'm thinking of getting a toyroom batcave - and if I do these parts will be great addition to it.

A lot of interesting comments. I had no idea it was so expensive to make those tiny pieces.

I love the WS head and the Batphone. Those are the two must haves. Although sadly given the price I think I will have to decline.

And I agree, would also see these items rather than not at all.

It's doubtful but I'd like to see the individual pieces offered for sale on their site.

You gotta figure, they paid a ton for this license, they have to do whatever they can to get value from it. I give them points for creativity. They aren't allowed make a freaking Batmobile, which ties one hand behind the back already, so try some other stuff to keep it interesting and honor the property. As much tooling as that represents I wonder if they will end up losing money on the deal.

Shakespeare bust and Bat-phone has been on the list of wants forever....

but those gas masks, I'm not to excited about the prospect of switching heads on these figures, they seem kind of delicate to me already.

The set is expensive, but I pre-ordered it. The pieces look well done and offer something unique to the collection. I'd rather have that than slightly different versions of the Mego Batman and Robin for example, as I already have 4 or 5 originals that look great. But that's just me, and part of the fun of the hobby. We can all pick and choose where to spend our hard earned money. I love all the choices Figures is giving us.

I would guess we will see the Batarangs and Bat-cuffs somewhere down the line, maybe as accessories to a comic line. It's still a lot of one shot tooling though.

I am hoping they might put outfits alone up so I can just mount those heads on a DM screw togethertype S body otherwise I'll probaly end up buying an extra pair of batman and robin

I messaged FTC and they said Penguin will have spats, but they ignored my concern about the accessory set.

Have you guys looked at the hands Batman and Robin have? A closed fist and large open hand... those will not hold anything. The promo pictures show Batman with a closed hand, the full parts list doesn't mention holding hands.

We need to say something about this, imagine spending 70 bucks and not having the figures be able to hold the parts!

They've made it pretty clear the two packs are a special limited item outside of the regular line, so I don't see what impact they have on new characters getting made. Four new characters announced so far in just the Batman family alone is pretty darn good if you ask me. What more do you want?

I think the high price tag might be so FTC can use the revenue to produce other play sets/vehicles. Classic TV Batcave/Wayne Manor......OH YEAH!!!!!!!

Actually it's the tooling on this set. It's not in the hundreds but in the thousands on some single items.
Look for an all new special announcement on these items in about 30 days.

I'm in for this Batman 66 stuff. I can't believe how good this series looks. While $69.99 hurts my pocketbook, every time I look at that accessories package, something tells me, I'm just being a cheapskate.

I'm trying to resist buying this but all this talk about the accessory pack is making me weak in the knees. I may buckle at any time.
