Tarzan and R.E. Howard stuff is what I've been most excited about. The only license they've been quieter about might be Gilligan.

My only issue with the look of the original Mego Tarzan is the flesh tights. I love the headsculpt. I'll just switch the head to a buff body and add a loincloth.

Honestly, I was never really into the Mego Tarzan. It just didn't appeal to me even though I was a Tarzan fan. However, I'm sure FTC will do a fine job with him.

My favorite Tarzan figure was that 1970s Mattel one (I think it had a Big Jim body).

In 1973 when I was 3 my Mom bought Mego Tarzan and Captain America for me and said I could have 1 now and the other for Christmas. I wanted Cap now! I lost Tarzan's little black plastic knife almost immediately! When I got Mego Conan years later in 1979 I wondered why Mego gave Tarzan a flesh boysuit! Same with 8" Wonder Woman!

I will buy FTC Tarzan and Jane and whoever in the line! Cheetah?

I always thought one could use the Uhura sculpt for La, or WW's Nubia. I like the Weissmuller Leopard Men, too.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

A Mego body based Gorilla would be cool and could be recycled into Grodd

Korak's slated and the Farrow's sculpting him. First Korak figure ever, I believe. I posted this months ago, but the forum was wonky and it didn't bump the thread and no one saw it. BTW, I like your list, but I'd swap out Clayton for Muviro, Chief of the Waziri tribe.

                    Yes! The Waziri!

Oh, and how about Tarzan's most dangerous enemy, Nikolas Rokoff? He was such a relentless enemy that he deserves to be immortalized as a Re-Mego.

In an earlier post I said I hope Tarzan isn't an exact Repro of the MEGO version. I'm fine with the head sculpt being reused but I really hope they ditch the flesh colored suit. A Korak figure sounds great!

I have a bad feeling the flesh-colored suit is going to be present (the photos on their page seem to indicate that) but it's still an easy fix, especially as I would be putting him on a new body anyway. What I would like to see are some extra accessories--the knife is fine, but what about a spear? Because I could buy a vintage Tarzan head on ebay for less than the FTC figure will cost, and I'll be using a Doc Mego buff body for him anyway, so really FTC isn't giving me much value for my money in this case--just a head and maybe the loincloth if I can cut it away from the flesh bodysuit without damaging it. A spear would make the figure more attractive to me.

I think some collectors are confused: This line isn't about replicating Mego-era superhero figures, it's about replicating the actual Mego figures. Some people scoffed when FTC didn't 'fix' the Speedy suit. There was nothing wrong with it, they did it exactly how Mego did. Which is the whole point.

Now if you want to see an 'updated' version of Tarzan then keeping buying the figures. Someone asked FTC on its FB page if they would make all the villains from the Batman series and their answer was that they would keep making them as long as their was customer support.

So keep buying the figures and they will keep making them. So far the first Batman Mego wave has sold out, and it looks like the first Batman 66 wave is on its way. That's a great sign for those of you that want to see the more obscure figures made.

^^If the Tarzan suit is like the original, you won't have to cut the flesh tone suit off. It's a separate suit altogether. As a kid, I got rid off the flesh suit as quick as I could.

That's great news. I'll pick one up then since I get a loincloth out of it to go with the head. And his knife--I assume it will be included--will also be nice.

I wonder how they plan on doing Korak--I'm hoping they put him on a smaller body, because if they don't what's the difference between him and Tarzan, really?

Another figure idea: give us a great ape as a bad guy! Preferably that one that Tarzan fought after it killed his mother.
