Of everything they are releasing the only thing I have no interest in is Dallas. I have to see what Gilligan and the Skipper look like first. Evel would be cool with a motorcycle.

I've heard good things about The Munsters line, I wonder why they havent tried to get The Addams Family. No one has done Mego likes of them, have they?

Well, I placed my pre-order for the first 4 retro Batman figures. Looking forward to getting them later this year.

Do they get their money immediately or when it ships?

With Figures planning to extend the Retro Batman line to characters Mego never made my dream figure has always been Catwoman in the purple dress.

I Just wish the Gilligan's Island Figures were 8" as well, so they can mix with everyone else.

This is exactly what I do. My son has quite a few of the retros, and he throws them and plays with them and bangs them together and loses parts. Just like we all did back in the day. He likes them in part because he sees my orginals all lovingly displayed on a shelf, but he still has a lot of fun just playing. When the last wave went uber cheap at 5 Below, I stocked up and have been giving them out 2 at a time for birthday gifts when my son has parties to go to. So that's my way of spreading it out and hopefully creating tomorrow's collectors. I look forward to giving him a nice new Joker to go with Batman.

On a side note, I recently placed a small order with Figures for some Hulk pants and some other stuff, and they shipped very fast and the quality was good. My son now has "Hulk Smash" which is cool.

But I wish Paul Dr. Mego had the license, too.

Secondly, I love the idea of playing with them myself. My son and I have battles with his retros. We bring them everywhere. I would never take an original Mego off the shelf and out Into the yard.
With these we can really party!!

So, Do you think the re-release of the classics will effect the value of the originals?
I know the Star Trek line like the classic Romulan is not as valued on eBay as it was prior to the release. Also, Why are people paying so much for the re-released Romulans and the EMCE Wonder Woman and others like it. Where they THAT hard to get?

I think the retros only service those who are not in the market for the originals. I think the vintage will remain just as collectable. What will likely happen though is you'll see a flood of hybrid figures with repro parts from this line.

Wish they would include Batgirl in the first series incase the line gets cancelled prematurely

She'd be a ringer for a wave two if she was signed on.

I have to admit I have not been getting any megos for while but the batman lines have renewed my interest in megos.
I just hope we see more of the orginals plus megos that were never done.
Would be nice to see them alittle cheaper but I ordered the series one anyway.
And plan to get them all.

                              No... Mattel owns those prototypes.
