Retro-Styled SUPER7 Universal Monsters Bubble Soap Containers Article on RUE MORGUE

For anyone who is into vintage and retro-styled monster toys and collectibles, here's a new piece I did for RUE MORGUE on a new line of Universal Monsters
'60s-styled bubble soap containers from Super7. Hope you like it!

Nice. I do plan to buy these. I've said it before - I'm so glad Super 7 has the license, they're doing the best job with it. From the 3.75 figures (which even includes characters like Ygor, Imhotep, Quasimodo, Werewolf of London, etc.), to the retro Ben Cooper style masks, to these Super Soapies, they are killing it. Keep it up, Super 7.

Yes, I really like a lot of the retro-styled monster items the company puts out. I appreciate ultra-detailed figures and statues, but I'm also very fond of vintage '60s-styled collectibles like these containers.

I saw a glow Herman Munster at Target a few days ago. I had no idea Super 7 was even producing Munsters figures. He was on the Remco-like card, although it was a painting of Fred Gwynne, not a photo. Still, it was really sharp looking. very tempting.

As the price of everything else has risen, $17.99 for those figures doesn't seem quite as steep.

Super 7 also regularly has sales, especially if you're subscribed to their email alerts. They had a 20% off sale last week and I ordered 6 of the Super Soapies, all except the Metaluna Mutant. I'll probably get him at some point, but had to go for the classics first!
