Why don't Star Wars collectors buy Lando?

I've been to several area Walmarts over the past couple weeks and the Star Wars sections are usually cleaned out of both Black Series and Vintage Collection figures with one glaring exception.

Lando. Every store I went to had pegs full of 6" General Lando, and Vintage Collection ESB Lando, both of which are AMAZING FIGURES, but nobody is buying them.
I Don't collect the 6" line but I bought two of the ESB figures.

I just don't get it. Lando is an awesome character, the figures are amazing...so why do they pegwarm?

We usually only really NEED one Lando. The outfit above is the favorite look.
    Wanted:

Diamond select Spider-man hands. Long shot, I know...but ya never know..

Poor Lando has become the latest pegwarmer for sure. I guess the case ratios were off? I know if they'd filled those spots with Ahsokas, my daughter would have bought them all!

The really odd thing is...the same is happening with the retro G.I. Joe Stalker figure. He's the only figure left. Nobody buys him.
I would really hate to think it's a race issue, but in today's society, who knows?

^Yes, I noticed that too. Unfortunately, in my area at least, it very much MAY be an issue. I never thought it would be in this day and age, but the last few years have taught me we have a long way to go to break down racial barriers I thought were obliterated decades ago.

same here in western pa. always landos(1:18 and !:12) and stalkers on the pegs. Snake eyes is also something that hasn't sold and Eternals but both were not big at the box office.

Eternals is truly baffling. Hasbro rarely puts out EVERY character from a Marvel movie in one wave like this, and they do so with a totally untested property like Eternals. Imagine if they'd saved that plastic for more figures of characters that were actually already known to be in Spider-Man: No Way Home, like Green Goblin, Dock Ock and Electro? They wouldn't be warming pegs!

You got that right! I'd have bought an updated Goblin and Doc Ock in a heartbeat! I still haven't even watched Eternals.

Well considering some of the comments I've seen on Sun-Man's inclusion into MOTU, I think the most obvious answer is often the correct one.

Really? That's disgusting and pathetic. Anyone who's a He-Man fan who thinks that way didn't get a damn thing from the moral lesson at the end of the Filmation series.

I wouldn't go there. But I've found a loose vintage Lando for $4 and the boxed black series for $5. A Boba Fett he is not. *♂️

Doesn't have to be a social issue. Y'know he made a special deal selling out our heroes...

True, he sold them out in ESB, but redeemed himself in JEDI...

It could be partially a race issue, but he's basically just a second tier normal looking guy. He's not the star, he's not a cool looking alien or a robot. He doesn't wear anything particularly special. He definitely adds to the whole Star Wars mythos, but he's just not as compelling as other options. And there have been other peg warmers, too. I remember the Black Series Slave Leia was a peg warmer. It was also an ugly looking figure, but I don't think it was a peg warmer because of anti-bikini sentiment. It might have also been the last Slave Leia item produced, now that I think about it, but I digress.

I hate to even consider race being a factor. I think it's more of a function of imperfect case packs. It seems to me that the difference between hard to find and clogging the pegs is pretty narrow. If you make him one per case, all of a sudden he'd be a lot harder to find.
