Hulk Marvel Legends at Wal-Mart

Saw these yesterday and picked up a Doc Samson...all come with a BAF piece for Fing Fang Foom:

- The End Hulk
- She-Hulk ("Savage" 1st appearance)
- Son of Hulk
- King Hulk
- Absorbing Man
- Doc Samson
- Wendigo
- Savage Grey Hulk

My review: She-Hulk looks to be the short packed figure (and she comes with Fing Fang Foom's head). Wendigo looks awesome! The Abosrbing Man is NOT as good as the one that was released years ago as part of a Hulk figure line (along with a Thor, a Maestro Hulk, a Leader...can't remember the year these were released). The Savage Hulk looks to be inspired from the Peter David/Dale Keown run and not the 1st appearance Hulk (which was recently handled quite well in an earlier Marvel Legends wave). I haven't been reading any modern Hulk comics so I had absolutely no interest in The End Hulk, King Hulk or the Son of Hulk. I'd have liked to have seen more villains or supporting cast (like Thunderbolt Ross, The Harpy, Jarella or the Bi-Beast {who was originally rumored to be a part of this line}) instead of the last three.

I owned that Absorbing Man and Maestro (loved his extras). The Hulk line came out when the Hulk animated series was on tv. I know I watched a few in either spring or fall 1997. It was on the same time as the Silver Surfer series. The Silver Surfer action figure series had a great Beta Ray Bill.

I never saw the last 2 series of of the Marvel Legends of the Fantastic Four or Spider-man sets here in any of our Wal-marts. I'll be shocked to see the Hulk series. The only thing our Wal-marts seem to have is the occasional She-Hulk, Colossus and Cyclops and some of the Legendary Comic Heroes Pitt and Monkeyman figures.

What was the cost of them each? I haven't seen them in the Canadian Wal-Mart stores yet. I checked weekly.

They're $14.99 each! My Wal-Mart got one shipment and it was GONE in 2 days.

Supposedly they're Wal-Mart exclusives so that may explain the price increase...

awhile back when they had the giant man series(Back when toybiz was doing the legends still..when they were good)....they didnt up the price....but maybe now since everything else is going up and the hulk was out, they felt it justified the price increase...who knows

Damn We got two cases in but at $15 each what a rip. I like the BAF but that is Too much. And like its been said earlier. Grey Hulk, Future Hulk, King Hulk Too many Hulks. Would like to have seen a few more different characters.

Saw the pegs at Target today but they were empty...no figures...and $14.99 each there too.
