    With the rubber skin and lack of fabric clothing the figures kind of came off as really expensive bendys. It was an odd concept and not very nice looking figures.

    Agreed. It seem to be in that netherworld of looking like a bid for the 1/9 scale market, while trying to be different enough to pull in other collectors with the armature underbody. I think that feature made it so unrelatable that no market embraced it.
