I know there was some talk about this set a while back, and it's finally up for pre-order. It's a bit higher than I expected, but it's pretty well packed with goodness, so I went ahead and pre-ordered it.

I've always wondered … did Max Fleischer's Superman keep his eyes closed because he could X-ray see through his eyelids ?

Or was he maybe a little functioning OCD ?

I'm assuming it is because it saves them needing to animate the eyes... but I love this theory!

^Well, technically, Captain Marvel had Superman eyes. No foolin', Joe Shuster ALWAYS drew Superman with a permanent squint. So Fleischer...and C.C. Beck with Captain Marvel, just followed that.
