Giving this a bump because it looks like Hasbro hasn't learned anything. They're doing it again with the Tantive IV play set.

Based on this recommendation, I may give this video a shot. I expected the usual vitriol, so it's nice to hear otherwise. I really do miss the vibe of his earlier videos. They were very informative and entertaining, and he was always pretty vocal about what he liked and what he didn't, but it never ventured into ranting in the early days.

He published another video which was a commentary about Hasbro's pulse and he had lots of critical things to say, I didn't finish it so maybe it ends weird but even that one seemed more like he was talking about other people's frustration with it because he's not actually a member himself. He also made a few points I felt inclined to agree with because he presented a solid argument.

I did get some valuable learning out of it realizing that every toy company gets this sort of static for their decisions. All too often I fixate on Mego or FTC, I don't buy any products from the other majors so i don't follow them. Seeing that Hasbro likely gets 10X this feedback made me realize you're always going to get this.

I watched this yesterday and have to agree Brian, maybe he's relaxed a little with everything and is starting to get back to his old self (let's hope anyway).

I was smirking as I wrote that, not sneering, but take it how you want. Most of my posts are taken the wrong way, anyway. I've only watched a few of the guys videos, so I have no clue about him. I really like the custom Galactica ships he was featuring, but don't watch Star Wars toys videos. I've just watched so many of Brian's videos, that that phrase is stuck in my mind...thought it was funny to post it...guess I was wrong.

The guy has gotten very aggressive toward his fanbase, so I don't have any problem talking about the fact that I don't care for the direction he's gone in. When he actively tells people to basically screw off if they don't like what he's saying...well, you're inviting this type of commentary among toy communities.
