13" DC Direct SuperGirl

Well Here She is. Looks like DC Figured out some sorta Latex Material to hide her Joints in her Legs... At least it looks like it to me. Could this be Why they waited for WonderWoman ?

The folks at the DC Direct booth at San Diego last year said that they were holding off on WW because they were trying to decide how to do her hair. They were considering rooted hair, but were working out the kinks on how to do it and not make it look too doll-like. That Supergirl's hair is short enough that they can get away with it sculpted.

I think rooted hair would have looked a lot better. She also has a bit of blank stare look going on in the pics. Not really great or terrible. Still much better than the Tonner one though.

Darn I've been trying to hold off on buying them lately.Bad enough i haven't gotten any of the Women....now this...darn darn darn I'll have to break down and get it..

I think it's terrible. Actually, boring might be a better description...

The proportions are all wrong (the cat's head is almost as big as Supergirl's!), the boots look like she's wearing bags on her feet, and the hairstyle is outdated. The head sculpt makes her look matronly and not even in a hot MILF kind of way; it looks like someone's mom dressed up to do trick or treating. Even the cat is badly done. Has the sculptor ever seen a real woman or a real cat?

The Mattel and Tonner Supergirls are much, much nicer. Sure, they're fashion dolls, but they look so much better.

DC's 13" line has been so disappointing.

I like it myself. Her and Power Girl seem to share the same basic facial sculpt, which is a nice attention to detail, considering they are the same person from two different universes.

I really love the 13" line and I bought a LOT of them when they started coming out... but lately they feel a little phoned in. This is especially galling given that their prices have gone from $59.99 to $89.99, which I believe is the price for this figure. Way too much for this.

Glad I never got into this line. Seems like DCDirect is going the Sideshow route and price gouging a bit more with every release. The Comedian is 125 bucks!!

I don't think it's bad but if the face seemed more human I'd be more excited---it
does kinda look "blah"

I still think it's a cool figure and wouldn't be surprised if the pics don't do it
all the justice it deserves

With this line---I'm most concerned that I don't particularly like the JOKER'S hairstyle
and I am also concerened we'll never see an eagle-chest icon Wonder Woman

I guess it's also definite they'll never redo the AQUAMAN in less shiny green/orange(?)

I like it. I'm still way behind on these (Power Girl, GA, Bizarro, Flash, Classic Superman, GL just to name a few).
