Me neither. I share Dwayne's opinion on toys looking like toys for the most part. I do admire the artistry, but the fast track to my happy place is toys from my youth.

This is one of the reasons why I gravitate towards "New Mego" that keeps it simple, without overworking the details. It's also why I accept Megos on the Target shelves that don't always nail great details or likenesses. In fact, I sort of wish some of the sculpts and details were "softer" if anything.

I am in a bad spot as I love both. I'm trying to round out my Kenner Star Wars collection, but at the same time LOVE the Hot Toys figures. I've kind of managed to limit both - not going hog wild with every possible variant for Kenner, and keeping it ONLY to Episode IV and ONLY to Hot Toys (vs. some sideshow stuff that fits in).. but even still, it's grown into a pretty massive commitment somehow.

I totally get the appeal. They are phenomenal looking figures. But for me they are too realistic.
