Ladder is from the vintage Masters of the Universe Castle Grayskull, which I shortened a bit and painted. It plugs into the mountain and is removable. The net is from a vintage Star Wars, Ewok Village playset. It rises and lowers.Leave a comment:

Nice. I have 2 of those, gray for mountain and white for arctic. I may have to get more.
BTW, where is the ladder from?

$75 for a plastic base and cardboard backdrop? Hell no! Ridiculously overpriced by at least $45. They call it a playset, but it is just a display base. Kenner's playsets that had plastic bases and cardboard backdrops actually did things. Hell, even their display base had an action! Not to mention I don't like the packaging. I am perfectly happy with the custom playset I made, which actually does something, has added plastic parts, is much bigger, and cost about half of what that set costs to make.

I do hope they continue making the Apes figures at least. An Ape city playset or somethings like the old Mego playsets for the 8 inch figures would be cool. I can dream, cant I?Leave a comment:

The one you made, if it's the one I saw pics of, would be closer to worth the $200+ than the actual playset. What a disappointment it looks to be. It might be worth $250 if there were only five or ten in existence.I knew it would be way overpriced. I made a custom playset that is bigger and actually has working features and vintage parts for half of that.
Also, you could buy a base from a vintage Land of the Jawas set and print out a backdrop for much cheaper than that.
And the packaging certainly doesn’t make the cost worth it.
I love this line, and this will be hard to pass up. But unless the cost comes down quite a bit on a general release or they change the box art for a general release, I will probably pass it up.Leave a comment:

I liked the box for the ALIEN Egg Chamber playset better... they used kids for the box photography for that authentic 70s look.Leave a comment:

Pretty sure it will get a general release. Hoping the packaging is better.
I know the random hipsters are Super 7 people, that doesn’t make them any less random. Dumb joke taken way too far.Leave a comment:

If it is the only one up, wait, someone will undercut him, then another, then another. It won't reach retail, but it will get better.

I could buy some decent POTA vintage for that price.
