I wanted to share this with you guys...I've been very fortunate in that I'm finally able to realize one of my dreams.
I've been a lifelong Universal Monster fan, and it seems that they can never quite get it together when it comes to licensing. They continually fight over actor's likenesses, meddle with and/or cancel countless products, and usually end up producing the same handful of generic looking monsters over and over.
I decided enough was enough. If they weren't going to make the stuff I want, I'd either make it myself or find someone who can. So...I contacted a guy who makes masks for a living and am having him create for me an entire set of 1:1 scale latex busts of Universal's movie monsters. They have real hair, acrylic eyes, etc. Later on I'll be attaching each one to a partial torso and finishing the shoulders with real clothing.
Well, my first one arrived Saturday and I just about fell over when I saw it. I present to you Lon Chaney Jr. as The Monster from 1942's "GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN"
I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do...this is a culmination of a lifetime of dreams! Next up will be Lon Chaney Jr. as The Wolf Man!
