Here's a WIP of my latest model...the super deformed Creature from Lambert Artworks.
I came across a collection of LIFE magazine photos from a 1954 article which feature the only color photos of the Creature that exist. Yes, those lips are red!
So I based my color scheme off those photos as closely as I could...the photos looked a bit faded and on the reddish side so I adjusted my paints accordingly. The lips are actually a reddish copper color...but the entire suit is a deep green with iridescent green, gold, copper, and blue highlights.
I still need to go over the entire thing and pick out the fine details...paint the claws etc. and of course apply a generous gloss coat. The base is the deck of the RITA, complete with railing and real rope.
