I think that's it. The fascination with robots in Japan in particular. Add in an attractive female WITH a robot-like character, and well, this makes a lot more sense.

I despise and hate Gwyneth Paltrow...you couldn't pay me enough money to keep that figure in my collection, lol...

Wow, for a company that is usually able to come thisclose to nailing an actor's likeness in vinyl/plastic, on this one, they don't even appear to be in the ballpark. I'm not a huge fan of GP, but she IS more attractive than what this figure portrays. Her hair looks like a cross-breeding experiment between a corn broom and 80's punk and, in an attempt to recreate freckles, it looks like she's suffering from a case of the measles.
