Neca Superman Vs Muhammad Ali figure set
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Tags: None -
I just do not like the "Neal Adams" lines on the figures.Visit my wiki site:

I had my hopes up that they'd be made like Freddy and Jason.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

I don't know what's more depressing:
The fact that it's taken anyone this long to try using this (IMHO) enormously appropriate and successful action figure design in the context of artists' renderings (and, very notably, of all artists to go with: One of the BIGGEST guns in the era of superhero comics that many of us that post here grew up with)...
or...
The fact that that primary reason it probably has taken this long to bring these particularly stylized figures (featuring unprecedented comicbook artist homage) is displayed in the lukewarm reception this set is getting in this very thread.
Aw shucks."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

This might look pretty cool displayed with the actual comic book behind it. I had the huge Whitman edition when I was a kid, and it was one my most prized possessions. I've gotta say, though, I would love to see Neca do a Muhammad Ali figure in the same style as their Rocky figures, with that semi-translucent skin they use, and a realistic paintjob.Comment

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

If this had been retro cloth, yeah, I would have bought a set.
But hey, it's a fun idea, and I like it..

Isn't it inherent in NECA's releasing of a Superman figure via a comicbook stylization format that "circumventing Mattel's hold" on (such a desirable property as) DC action figures by not doing it the traditional way is exactly what they did?"No. No no no no no no.
