Will looks pretty good but this has been another line that has suffered from some questionable translations from prototype to production. The Don West prototype which you always see for that character is ten fold better than the actual production piece. The actual Don West head is too thin and the features pretty soft, which is not what the prototype looked like at all. The John Robinson figure is pretty good but the paints could have been better. And what their thinking on the price for that flight pack variant is INSANE. That will never sell at that price. Also the necks on some of these get a little on the tall side as well.
Nothing will ever beat the Diamond Select Robot they put out. I absolutely love that replica. And the Anti-matter variant coming out is an easy buy as well. That will be fun to add to the collection.
^^^ Yeah, that price is definitely higher and the head sculpt hardly justifies the price. I remember long ago with the company made their first appearance at Wonderfest and brought an extensive line of prototype Lost in Space figures and playsets. They had everything from the various characters to the robot, even the Jupiter 2! The prototypes were so exceptional I nearly begged them to sell them. None of the production pieces have come close to those prototypes. I need to go back through my old photos and look for these. This occurred long before camera phones were common place so I'll have to dig through my old stock of pics. But they were really exceptional.
Why is the Bill Mumy figure so much more expensive than the others and previous LIS figures? Too bad the face sculpt is off--he'd go good with my Dr. Smith figure.
