Mattel 3.75" Wonder Woman Invisible Plane

Here's an idea Mattel. Instead of creating all of this really cool stuff for SDCC, how about putting this much effort into your actual retail products so PEOPLE CAN FRICKIN' BUY THEM!!!

    Ahem.

Today on the MattyCollector.com Facebook page they revealed another surprise Comic Con Exclusive that was not on any previous list. DC COMICS™ introduced the world to the warrior princess of the Amazons, PRINCESS DIANA OF THEMYSCIRA, aka DIANA PRINCE, more commonly known as WONDER WOMAN™.

I understand not wanting to pay aftermarket prices. But SDCC's low numbers allow them to make niche exclusives and a 1:18 WW invisible plane definitely falls into that category. Being a Marvel guy if SDCC made Vanisher from the X-men, 500 fans might get a kick outta it, but your average TRU customer or kid wouldn't buy it.

As SDCC exclusives go, I like that this isn't just an empty package this time.

A vacu-formed snap together top and bottom?

It's basically a plane shaped salad container.

          It still works.

Kind of a cool idea and the package would be too fragile for retail. The problem is you would probably have to trash the clam shell jet to get the figure out.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The way light rays could possibly be bent in future camouflage projects leads me to think technically Wonder Woman should also disappear when she enters the plane.

The invisible force/shield (clearly shown above around the propeller) is proof the plane is actually incased by an invisibility screen and not part of the planes exterior metal shell.

That's awesome! I agree with you completely about the con exclusives. This practice drove me absolutely nuts when I was collecting the Masters of the Universe Classics line.
