The Alien King is a great piece, but I'm not sold on the design. It doesn't "wow" me. It's huge, though.
I love the HT warrior, and Ripley is nice, but her face sculpt is a little bit off to me.
My personal targets are the Neca 1/4 scale Big Chap and the Aliens (Cameron) version of the warrior. I'd be happy with those...

did Sideshow do a 1:6 Alien from the 79 movie? I seem to recall that from awhile back.
I have a penchant for vintage Alien items, but my high end budget pretty much disappeared over the past three or so years, so I have not kept up with new products. I think I remember Neca had a nice 1:6 scale big chap as well.

I think it's the lack of "makeup" on Ripley.

...at least hat's the prototype, I'm sure Sideshow is reading its own forums...some are indeed complaining that Ripley is a tad off, not much, almost there, but a tad nevertheless...

...it's certainly way better than an earlier prototype...




Looks like Hot Toys decided to remove actual "hair"...and went with a molded one instead.

The huge life sized ones are really, really, really expensive. New car expensive.

But they have a couple of 19" tall Aliens I have my eyes on...both in the $400 range...

Plenty of small ones...would be nice to get a 15-20 inch figure...they are in the 10-15 pound range...

Kind of an old pic, but here's my Kenner Alien and two Tsukuda Aliens (along with a little Revoltech one). I'm hoping to move my Alien collection to a different spot, so if I end up with extra room, I might add some more Tsukudas.

Man, that Ysukuda is almost as tall as the old school Kenner, awesome.

After my Queen stuff is complete...will definitely try to get some of those big chaps.
