I don't get the texture; he's not Aquaman or Captain America. It looks like someone sewed together some colored bathtub mats. The head is nice, but it's more silver age Martin Sheen as GL than I'd like. It looks like a very quality piece, but I don't quite like the design.Comment

$220? Pass. I collected 13" DC Direct and also have that superior GL which was only $60 in 2006! After 13"DCD ended in 2010 I was excited about Sideshow getting DC license in 2011 and announcing 12" DC figures, but GL is only 6th one SS has made and prices keep increasing. SS seems more interested in 18" DC Premium Format statues, so SS should let another company like FTC have 12" DC license.Comment

I sold off the Sideshow figures I had (Joker, Batman, Catwoman, Harley). I'm not in agreement with the artistic liberties they're with their "interpretations". Over-priced. If they were classic Bronze Age versions I'd be in, but these? Pass.Comment

I'm with you. I thought the 13" DC Direct line did some really good things as a nod to the classic comic book artists. I especially love the Robin Teen Wonder one. He is one of my favorite Robin figures. I like the fact you can give him a black or green mask. Little qualities like that really make them fun for display.Comment

^I LOVE that Robin. And the Nightwing looks like that figure, just older. Great touches like that from the early figures. They got a bit Hot Toys envious toward the end, and the Wonder Woman looks likes like a lifeless attempt at a Hot Toys-level sculpt. But the early ones are really nice. The blue/gray Batman is also one of my favorites.

Yeah, Sideshow takes way too many artistic liberties with their designs. Much like comic artists today who need to redesign every character they draw...it's simple vanity. Change for the sake of change. Oh, look at MY version...isn't it just soooo much better? The answer is always NO.Comment

I like it, but would prefer the Bronze Age version as well. The tweeks to the custom don't do anything to improve it. And I'd really rather spend $220 on something I love. Or eat. Or maybe drink. But definitely not this figure.Comment

It's a tough economy, you see stuff like this and really would like to get it, but price tags on something like this
is a bit to rich for the average collectors blood, the craftsmanship is excellent, you want it bad enough to put aside
money and save up to get it.Comment
