These things look fantastic. I could really see these figures having an impact. Like Crawford said, you get what you pay for when you buy this kind of stuff. I hate the 12 inch stuff but this has my interest. I actually think the 1/12 stuff looks more real.LOOK

I have never been a fan of 12 inch figures either but I definitely am interested in these. Can you guys imagine if Mezco goes deep into the classic Trek characters with this kind of quality. That would truly be awesome. I am looking forward to seeing what they do in the future with classic Trek, classic DC, classic Marvel, Universal Monsters and Hanna Barbera.Comment

I am aware it is a 6 inch figure. If it were 12 inches I would not be interested. That's why I am excited as to what the future may hold for these new Mezco 6 inch figures with all the great characters they could possibly produce in this scale with this kind of quality.Comment

Looks great, but I'm not seeing any hint of yellow/green skin or is it my monitor?

I don't think it's too high at all. It's half the scale of a Hot Toys figure, but only a third of the cost. Also, it comes with a ton of stuff not shown, including an alternate head, five sets of hands, display stand, and all the classic Trek gear.Comment

I understand what you mean and I respect your opinion immensely. You know that. But for me to pay $70 for something there has to be something in the manufacturing that justifies that cost. The head sculpt might be nice, but if it's just the head sculpt, that doesn't get me to that price. It really reminds me of that Stan Lee /Spiderman exclusive they put out years ago where you could take a 6 inch Stan Lee figure (good head sculpt too) and switch him into Peter Parker or Spiderman with the various heads, hands, and feet. I still have it in the white outer case it came in, but the figure itself, while fun, is kind of unremarkable at that scale. It's not because it wasn't done well. It's just that there is only so much you can do at that scale for detail until it becomes something you need to look at under a microscope to appreciate. I spent $25 for that and of course today you can flip it for a couple of hundred. But this is new product and Star Trek is a saturated commodity in the licensing realm. Forget a Hot Toys comparison. This guy disappears behind a Mego Spock and that has more manufacturing in it than this little fella. I'm just not seeing the justification for that price tag. And yes he looks good on a zoom shot, but stand back and look at him from your shelf across the room. Need that zoom lens. That's my point. But all love brotha! If you dig it, THAT is what matters. Price will always be a subjective matter for allot of us.Comment

On the up side, you won't need a lot of display space. And it does create the possibility for vehicles..
